What is your electricity (kWh) cost at home ?

Albuquerque, NM with the PNM EV pilot program I pay $0.044 per kWh at home between 10 pm and 6 am. That’s the only time and place that I charge it.

In Ottawa Ontario (just across the river from Quebec), I pay roughly 10 cents Canadian for generation + 2 cents transport per KWh. There are time of use plans available but I don't have them.

Electricity in the United States is expensive relative to much of Canada. But US gasoline is relatively cheap.

Smud here in Sacramento area of California fixed $0.13 winter, $0.23 Summer per kwh plus $20 connection, tax, etc. no tier or time of use rate.

Our electricity plan is… let’s just say strategic

• Weekday Energy (kWh): $0.25
• Night/Weekend Energy (kWh): Free from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

So our house basically turns into a mini power plant at 10:05 PM.
EV charging?
Washing machine?
Dishwasher?
Air filters?
Anything that plugs in and doesn’t run away?

If it uses electrons, it’s doing overtime at night in our place.
Free electricity is free electricity and we intend to honor it responsibly and enthusiastically.
