I'm getting to know my Gravity (two weeks of ownership), and I'm wondering what's behind the Dynamic Range/Efficiency dial calculations. I'm starting to think the dial doesn't represent just driving efficiency, but takes into account all sources of battery drain, including while parked.
For one week of driving:
Trip meter: 251.4 mi, 81.9 kWh, 3.07 mi/kWh
Dynamic range meter: 201 mi, 2.80 mi/kWh
Range display: 258 mi rated, 201 mi Dynamic, 61% battery.
Hand calculation using range display numbers: 201 mi / (118 kWh * 0.61) = 2.79 mi/kWh (I'm using 118 kWh as the base for battery % calculations, but this is just a guess, based on best fit for various other stats that I've collected.)
I've never seen the dynamic range dial reach 2.9, let alone the 3.07 I'm getting via my trip meter for the entire week. Does anyone know how dynamic range/efficiency is calculated?
