Waze (AA) and built in Nav at the same time?

Is it possible to use Waze (AA) on the top screen and the car's built in NAV at the same time? I feel like it should since the car NAV is using the car's GPS and Waze is using my phone's GPS but every time I turn on the 2nd one it shuts the other one off.

I'm using a Gravity if that makes any difference.

I'm curious why you would want to do that? And obviously you could kind of do it if you didn't connect your phone to the car. Just use your phone for Waze and pull up the lucid nav in the gravity just like used to do before android auto in the Air.
 
Only one at a time. Makes sense...imagine different routes being shouted at you from two places. lol

That said, I'm pretty sure if you start Waze but then go to Lucid's nav, the audible alerts will still be announced from Waze. (Maybe someone can double check this...my car is at SC so can't check but seem to remember it having the alerts about railroad crossings when I approached...)

I like using Waze for routing and alerts but I like using the built-in nav for arrival state of charge and automatic pre-conditioning the battery...

I use both, as well, primarily for the Waze alerts. I also like the built-in nav for the nav directions on the HUD. My wife thinks I’m nuts for keeping both running.

I tried CarPlay for navigation and didn’t like it. I prefer the functionality of the built-in nav and disabled CarPlay after a week of experimentation. Music is through Tidal for Dolby Atmos.

I started off using both phone and car navigation to compare Waze routes with HERE routes. I know HERE maps get a lot of flack on this forum, but I found the built-in routing to be pretty good in my own experiments against Waze, Google, and Apple.

Waze routing is superior when historical traffic data shows rapidly changing congestion (you’ll know when arrival time differs significantly between the two), so I’ll sometimes follow the Waze route and let the built-in nav reroute. Most of the time, though, I’ll use Waze just for the alerts.
 
One thing to note when roadtripping:
I started my cross country trip and switched to Waze. It immediately put me on a route that nearly got me out of range of a supercharger. I didn't notice right away and I barely made it to the campsite (where I charged at the RV 50 amp). So I stopped using Waze for the most part and used Lucid's nav which more accurately told me about WORKING chargers. (unlike the 5 Tesla chargers in Omaha that will not work with Lucid...ugh. Again, an argument to use Lucid's nav...)
 
We still don't have the option to use google maps on AA and it pre-conditions the car right?

But we can still pre-condition manually even when using outside navigation I believe?

That makes sense. I had my car for a couple of years before AA came out. So with that experience and the fact that the vast majority of my miles are in upstate NY where I have all the charging information I need in my head, I'm pretty good at estimating my expected efficiency and charging needs. But if I were to take a long trip in unfamiliar areas, I could definitely see the benefits of your setup
 
I'd settle for the ability to have Waze open but not routing for the alerts, and the Lucid native map on the lower screen with the route, and next turn info on the instrument panel.

Fingers crossed that this is possible once we get upgraded to 3.x UI.
 
I just drove 7 hours from Seattle to Medford OR and like others, wanted battery smarts of the native nav system but wanted the police and other alerts of Google maps. What I found was that as soon as I plotted a trip in the native nav, it would cancel any trips loaded in google maps. BUT, if I used native nav for trip, then fired up waze, the "only alerts" mode worked fine and showed me police and such like I wanted. Go figure. Air Pure RWD btw.
 
I was able to use both on my previous Jaguar XF-S. On my 2022 road trip from Montreal to Palm Spring and back by Road 66, it was very useful. My Waze was running in my CarPlay screen and I was able to flip to the same screen using Home button. It should be easy to fix this and run both
