USB Media connection no longer working after media-computer upgrade

Got the 2.0 Media computer upgrade a few months ago.
Thought I'd throw in my Lucid-Air-approved USB media stick I'd always use into the slot and nothing happened. Selecting USB under Media asks to insert one.
Then I noticed USB connection (Bluetooth off) of my Google Pixel phone to either USB or USB-C port only powers the phone (no media) and no Android Auto wired connectivity.

Anyone know if there's an easy fix to this? Perhaps the USB Media connection on the new Media 2.0 computer was not connected?

Sounds like they forgot to connect a harness to the usb module.

Yeah, something is up with your wiring; have service check it out.

Anyone know if there's access I can get to it? I think it's under the passenger carpet. I'd hate to have them drive out from Denver.

I have experienced the same issue after an upgrade to the faster chip. The car no longer recognizes a USB stick loaded with music that I was using successfully before the upgrade, and I cannot use wired-only CarPlay with my iPhone. Wireless CarPlay still works fine and the USB slot does charge the phone. I have scheduled a service appointment about two weeks from today.

FWIW, that’s obviously not the expected experience, so a service call is the right call. Mine worked without issue; I had a brief Sirius bug where it wouldn’t load for a while (I presume because of the different ID), but then it fixed itself. Otherwise, flawless.

Called Service and they considered it and said they'd get back to me at some point. I usually get some feedback within a few weeks but sometimes I have to call back.
It could be that the cable is just not seated fully, but I'm cautious to pull on side panel clips to get at it near the glovebox. First-world problems.

I’m pretty adventurous but idk if I’d start pulling apart the wiring harnesses in a Lucid!

Did you get the wired usb issue resolved ?

Yes, somewhat. On occasion, the USB connection works with the Bluetooth off, about 1 in every 3 "trips" which is interestingly consistent with how often audio itself is muted upon startup of a "trip". Recent software upgrades have changed the unreliability of it, making it "more likely" to not mute upon startup.
All muting only occurred when the car was plugged-in overnight and completed its set charge level.

I found just leaving Bluetooth on worked a bit better on reliability.

I have not been successful on a USB stick being recognized with audio files however since 2.8
