this is exactly what Lucid mobile tech told me a few months ago, when I asked him, if there's any way to tell the car "yo, I am here, waiting for you with the key fob"
My key fob chews through batteries like there's no tomorrow, probably going through a single 'pill' in 2-3 months, I blame the cheap ones I got from Amazon, not the Panasonic's ,but some chinese unbranded ones.
I noticed a strong correlation between key fob acting up and its battery level. It's been a few times, when the car prompted me to changed battery in the key fob, right after auto-unlocking had glitched / has been slow to present the handles. Recalling Emad mentioning to OOS Kyle that somewhere around 3.3.2 time they managed to reduce key fob battery consumption by an order of magnitude...something tells me it still consumes lots of juice, cause I am sure some people on this forum use good quality batteries

I've been using a brand from Amazon called "Retail Digitals". I put a new one in on December 19th when I took delivery of the Gravity (as back then many people were complaining that the fob battery died quickly after delivery) and that first one lasted until May. Not great but definitely better than what a lot of people have reported.
Side note - I started using that brand back when I first had to replace batteries in Apple AirTags, the bitter coating on a lot of the main brands were causing problems with AirTags and theirs didn't have it. I use them for a bunch of different things that need button cells (I have quite a few vintage cameras that use different types) and they've always been great.
All that to say - give them a try, I know at least one or two other people on the forums bought them and were happy with them too.

Sorry but you are advising them something to do that was recommended for them to try months ago and they've all tried it many times and it did not work for them. This is not the solution to their problem...

I will give them a try, thank you. But first, I gotta feed the 10+ (brand name is EEMB) I still got left to the key fob, luckily that won't take long
I wish that would work on mine but it hasn't. Changed the battery 7-8 times this year, 2 different brands, including one someone here recommended and said fixed their issues. Hasn't seemed to make any difference on mine, whether the battery is on it's 1st day or 80th. I wipe them with nail polish remover now to take the safety coating off too (no difference). Sometimes I get 1 or 2 fast opens, but it's fool's gold. It's all so random. Fob software is successfully updated (checked many times just in case). Pressing buttons makes no difference. Shaking it makes no difference.
It's always detects it... eventually. Sometimes just as I'm getting to the car (as it should), sometimes 5 seconds late, or 7, 10, 15, 20... 7 seconds seems to be the most common. I count off the seconds when I get to the door.
I'll see if anything changes when I get 3.6.3, but that sounds unlikely now. Then I'll email Customer Care and ask for a replacement. Anyone know if they can program it by VIN and just mail it out, or does it have to be done with the car in service? (I hope not)
I tried that brand. Hasn't seemed to make any difference on mine. At least not in fixing the delay behavior. I have had one of those in there for 3 months so maybe it lasted longer. Although hard to say because I was discarding the prior ones simply because of the delay issue. Maybe they would have lasted just as long, but I didn't give them a chance.
And my guess is the jiggle is just coincidental. By the time we've been in range for 10 seconds already and resort to trying all the little tricks, it's about the time it would randomly wake up anyway. Seems like a correlation at first but then that doesn't work the next 3 times. Just coincidental timing.

No, I haven't. That's the next attempt if 3.6.3 doesn't work. Each update said it was going to address the fob problems, but didn't (not this problem, anyway). PAAK would make it unnecessary too but that hasn't arrived yet either. All the claims of software fixing it suggested it was a software issue that could be fixed with software, but it could be one of those "multiple problems at the same time" things.
Also the fact that it always works eventually, whether trying any of the tricks or not, seemed to suggest to me it's not the fob but rather the car waking up to look for the fob. So I was willing to wait for each software update that claimed it would fix it. And since it's just an annoyance rather than a dire problem (the car always opens eventually), I put up with it. I was going to have service look at it (and maybe they'd have replaced the fob then) when I had them scheduled to upgrade to DD2 Premium 2 weeks ago, but coincidentally the same day of my appointment Lucid announced we could finally just do that via the app. Service said they'd need the car for 2 weeks and we had an upcoming trip planned, so I cancelled. And here we are.
Hoping it doesn't have to go in for service to program a new fob. That's more annoying than waiting 7 seconds.
The mobile service guys can take care of replacing the key fob as that's how I got a second key fob (via a mobile service)
Thanks. That's better than taking the car, although still a pretty good wait. The Denver tech told me that they do mobile service when they have time but lately they've been so backed up in the shop that they don't have time to do mobile. (Thus why they'd have needed the car for 2 weeks just to do the few things I had on the list.)
Oh well, I've been dealing with it for 7 months, so what's another month or two?
the difference with Mobile is you don't lose access to the car and just need to be in a certain spot for four or so hours (they give you a four hour window IIRC). So much better than losing your car for 2 to 4 weeks while the car is in the shop mostly waiting for someone to work on it.

Have you updated the fob firmware? 2.15.13 was released fairly recently. If Gravity 3.6.3 + fob 2.15.13 doesn’t fix the fob problem, I’m thinking it’s bad fob hardware.
The only time my fob acted up was when the battery got low. I’ve been on my second battery for the last 5 months and it’s still going strong. Very rarely do I have to wait for the car to wake up, and even then, its pretty quick
Many times. (Well, updated once and subsequently double-checked it multiple times since to be sure).
Full disclosure: I have an Air, not a Gravity. I sometimes get into the Gravity forums without noticing. Sorry folks.

I'm wondering if when you have the say >10sec delay (< or equal to 5sec is probably w/in spec for most any SW defined vehicle) if you can see the splash screen on the Cockpit Display indicating the car is having to wake up before it can detect your fob?
The reason I asked is I've had a loaner GGT for ~three weeks now and probably one out of ten times it delays similarly, though I don't think it's ever been for more than 12-15sec
When it does this I look inside and see the splash screen...like the car was in a deeper sleep state or some shit and has to boot up like a desktop from 1999.

It depends on WHY the system is delaying. I'm my case (granted, it's the Air), I think the car sometimes is in too deep a sleep (or stopped looking for a fob/phone). Pressing in the door handle seems to wake it up enough, or triggers it to look for the fob, and it is about 95%v successful at being enough to get it to unlock and present the handles.
Obviously there are other possible causes for a delay that won't be solved by pushing in the handles, but I suspect it's worth trying for most people, or they wouldn't have it in the manual.
