Update on Our Next OTA Release (post-3.6.0)

I guess you can just track unenrolled vehicles separately.
It would be a mess. The Gravity ones, I cleaned up recently and bumped all vehicles below 3.5.7 up to 3.5.7 so the data would just be completely inaccurate and potentially make things look worse than they are etc.

Alright, I just got a notification that 3.6.3 is available to install. Out of curiosity, I checked the Wi-Fi download statistics, and it looks like the Gravity downloaded the update over the cellular connection rather than Wi-Fi (while parked in our garage, where Wi-Fi signal is decent), since there’s barely any activity shown in the Wi-Fi download statistics.
Btw, checked LucidTracker - neat UI touch @HC_79

Got the update this evening.
Installation took 1 whole hour.

have the update but I have some morning errands so it has to wait

Got it last night, took about an hour to install. AC vents in the second row now work when my little kids buckle in, and I tested manually turning on the AC without any passengers while running a quick errand, and the AC state is remembered on the next drive. Super nice!

Now, my fob is still a little wonky. It still takes 5-10 seconds before the car will unlock itself when I am right next to the car, so that hasn’t really improved for me. Oddly enough, the car will wake right up as I am walking up to the car with my wife’s fob. Both fobs have been updated to latest software (and yes, 2 fresh set of batteries). My fob woes continues…

If your wife's fob consistently works, and yours consistently does not, I'd be wanting a replacement fob.

Second this. Sounds like the fob itself

Well that's disappointing to hear. Probably gonna be the same for mine then. Was hoping this update would FINALLY fix the delay. Mine sure wasn't acting like it was the fob because I could stand there like a statue not moving the fob at all and it would eventually just kick in 15 seconds later, with or without shaking, new batteries, hitting any buttons... none of it made any difference. But if you're consistently seeing perfect results from one fob, that sure points to the other fob being bad. So maybe mine is, even though the behavior doesn't seem like it.

How did you get a 2nd fob? Did you have to pay for it? Is it something they can program remotely and mail it to you or does it require a service visit (which would suck)?

They've been replacing some of the older key fobs because of this. Definitely ask for a new one

Fob still chews through batteries...Already on 4th battery in 8 months...

Which is annoying too but I'd be happy to replace a 50 cent battery every 2 months if that fixed the routine delay in the car unlocking. Unfortunately it doesn't.

I don't understand why owners walk up the car and stand there passively, confused and out of options.
Just push on the door handle as stated in the manual. Personally I don't have time in my life to wait for a mere car to wake up and unlock.

Because it doesn't work. Not for those of us having the fob delay issue. Pressing the door handle in does nothing until the door is unlocked. And the doors won't unlock until the fob is detected. That's the whole problem - the fob not being detected (until it finally does after 5-20 seconds).

You guys have such similar user names I was getting turned around for a moment. Def some lingering gremlins here. My wife’s been having some glitches with CarPlay cutting out, but interestingly I haven’t experienced it myself.

I've also been tripped up by those usernames.

What is cutting out on Carplay? We've had Spotify cutting out when one of us was using it at home, and the other using it in the car. Spotify only allows one stream per user account and my wife happened to be using my account instead of hers.

I wonder what the crossover is for people who have fobs that are slow to be recognized with people who's fobs go through batteries really fast. Mine do neither of those things. I've replaced the battery once since delivery in December.

Not exactly true.

While I appreciate this may not be your issue, what the door press does is manually trigger a computer wakeup, which then rescans the immediate area for a fob within range. Then it will initiate the unlocking manually if found; you see why I hoped this would benefit your situation as this has been an issue in the past.

If your fob is detected differently than another (your wife's) I would suspect possibly a battery/signal strength issue.

(Yes, the similar names must have people thinking this is one guy thinking out loud...) :)

Sure, it does something when the car+fob are working right. But it does nothing for this situation where the car/fob is slow to wake up and respond. I've tried it 100 times. Zero. Zip. Nada.

Nothing happens until the fob is detected. And nothing works to get the car to detect the fob any sooner.
