Until we get a proper Camping Mode, I'm curious about how/when the 12V outlet can provide power, especially if in Creature Comfort mode is turned on (and I'm staying overnight in car).

My plan was to leave my power bank plugged into the 12v at all times while on trips, be it if I'm in the car or not...so it can trickle charge the power banks.

Any thoughts on this plan? I checked the manual and it didn't have this info.

Thanks!

As far as I can tell, 12v port only provides power while car is unlocked/in-use. We plugged a cooler into the rear 12v port (don't have power package) on a long roadtrip and worked great since we weren't ever far from the car. If the car ever locked, we could see cooler immediately turn off.

I see a setting in the charge->outlets screen for “keep on”. Was this turned on?

Never mind. That’s only for the AC outlets.

I came here just to ask this question. Makes the 110 outlet preferable, but even so having to turn that option on after every start is tiring on a road trip and means you can't valet the car and keep things running.
