Turning off Alexa

Hello

Can Alexa be turned off? In my Model S and Jeep, I select a button when I want to activate voice commands, which is what I prefer. I'm hoping that Lucid Air's Alexa access isn't an "always on." If it is always on, are there settings similar to an echo in terms of deleting/not saving recordings/conversations?

You can simply not log into Alexa in the car.

what do you lose by not having Alexa?
personally I have never used Alexa - and it doesn't fill me with excitement

from what I understand, it doesn't read text messages which is my primary use case (I'm ok typing address in nav - way too much bad experiences in the last 10 years)

It does read texts. It just doesn’t handle calls right now.

You’d lose the ability to do use voice commands / assistance.

great news to learn it does read texts… that might be enough for me to add alexa
