Tow hook license plate holder

Front plates look ugly. Plus don’t like drilling holes into a brand new 75k plus car.

I'm about to order mine. In case anyone is looking for amazon U.S. link, this seems to be the same product: https://a.co/d/3nZINl4
Thanks Anthony. The forum is so full of people asking for a tow hook front mount solution, and too many answers are all about how they use a decal in CA, or that it isn't required in (insert state), but no one actually_answers_the_question! After much digging, I have found your post, which is a solution that (hopefully) fits the Lucid Air and thus answers the question. Many thanks!

I installed mine a while back and it worked just fine. Below are some pics (yes, I'm ashamed the car was dirty). I had no issues with any sensors being blocked, at least the car didn't give any warnings (car has dream drive pro).

In the kit I got there was a 2.5" extension which is what I ended up using and it cleared the bumper just right. I did glue a little piece of weather stripping to the back of the plate on one spot where I thought it might push against the bumper when traveling. The kit allowed the post to mount at several locations on the plate holder, and so I put it on the lowest slot so the plate would sit higher.

Pro Tip: Be sure you keep a screwdriver & proper wrench in your trunk to take the thing off in case you need to get towed (if you have 21" tires, this will happen to you.) The tow-truck driver inexplicably had no tools, and so we couldn't take it off and put the tow hook on for winching onto the flatbed. After him trying to dink around with a pair of pliers unsuccessfully, I just drove the car up the flatbed since it was just a popped tire.

Despite having it sit higher, you can see from one of the pics that it still sits quite low, and I ended up scraping the plate on a parking stopper, which bent things a little, and so I took it off to straighten out, and well, I just never put it back on. As others from CO here have commented, police don't seem to care - I was pulled over by state patrol and while he cited me for speeding, said nothing about the missing front plate. I keep the plate and mount in my car so I can show an officer if asked, and I'll just tell the truth - that the plate mount was damaged 😌
