2024 Lucid Air Pure
I’m dealing with Tidal and Lucid with an issue that has just risen…lately, when I play a Dolby Atmos track on the native Tidal app, I get a notification that says, This selection will play in stereo only as this device does not support Dolby Atmos.

For the two months I’ve owned the Air Pure (yes…with SSP) Tidal and Dolby Atmos worked fine…about two weeks ago, I began to get the no DA message…

Here’s my question…Tidal support asked me for the version of the app my car is running. When I check the settings in the app, all I get is Tidal Hifi. Does anyone know how to see the version of the Tidal app past what I see? Lucid support has only suggested power cycle and level 2 resets…

I recently got this a few times too, after one of the recent updates; but it does not happen every time. I suspect it is a Tidal bug.

The Tidal app (and the others) in the Lucid aren’t written by Lucid, but by their respective companies; in this case, Tidal.

You should report the bug to both though, which you did.
 
Interesting. I have never received that message and I (almost) exclusively use Tidal and seek Atmos tracks.
 
since we're on the Tidal topic.. i've had my 25 airGT for about a week, and have nothing but issues with simple 'playback'. even with the car on wifi, or strong cell reception, i'll not be able to have a song play.. even if I hit play over again in the screen. advancing to another track.. will still not play.. turn the car off and on again.. then maybe it will play. often.. if it is eventually playing a track.. when it advances to the next song, it stops and i'm back pressing the ply button over an over to repeat the cycle of no music and me frustrated in traffic trying to get out of silence in the car. Also.. just a goofy question... do you think that the people that made the Tidal app for lucid.. did they test it in the car? cause it's some 2004 windows media player bad.

I have never, not even once, had that happen. Can you take a video?

Have you tried signing out of and back into Tidal in the car? And just to confirm, you’re using the built-in Tidal app, not through Carplay or Bluetooth?

I’ve signed out. In. All of the above. Just restarted my car again w a soft boot (ambient lights back on for new! Yay!). It’s still doing the same thing w not playing. Even if I advance a track or go to another playlist. What I did just discover.. if I go to Spotify and back to tidal.. THEN tidal works.

Thanks for all the info…anyone able to find the version of Tidal in their car past Tidal Hifi?
 
Just watched the video. I’ve run into this only when I lose service. Next time this happens (as soon as it does) check to see if you have service?

Super weird though, I’ve only had it happen rarely, and only when I lose service. If it’s happening when you have service, I have no idea.

I use the same technique of going to Spotify and back over. Like @borski said tho, I only experience this when losing service or when the “Hey Lucid”circle/cloud has a line through it even with service.

Thanks for having a look! Weird, right!? Kinda makes sense that it’s signal strength. The Bay Area is horrible for constant cell service. tried to make sure when I shot the mov (yes, dream drive was on) on the Golden Gate Bridge where cell reception is strong). Soon as I got to mill valley, tried again when FULL BARS and it worked fine. Then the interior ambient light went out again. lol! (Love the car so much aside from these little things!) ❤️❤️❤️

This is also my workaround the few times this has happened, fwiw.

Okay, now I’m even more curious, as I live in the South Bay. If you come to a Lucids and Lattes or if you ever wanna grab a beer/coffee, I’d love to see if we can drive the same route and see if it happens to you!
