Most of the Dolby Atmos music I listen to, while it is definitely more immersive, it doesn’t seem to take full advantage of the Dolby Atmos environment. Well, I have put together a Tidal playlist that I call The Complete Dolby Atmos Series. The intent is to feature primarily instrumental music that I think are examples of what is possible in Dolby Atmos. Right now the playlist only features music by Jennifer Athena Galatis. She creates electronic, sci-fi, fantasy, atmospheric kinds of music that take Dolby Atmos to the extreme. It’s not always the greatest pure listening experience but her music really takes advantage of surround and height giving it a completely immersive 360 degree encounter. An example of one is a piece of music called “Whales in Atmos”. The sound of water is put in the height speakers so you get the sense that you are under the water. Every piece of her Dolby Atmos music is specifically created for immersion.

Here is the link to the playlist in case you are interested. As I find more extremely Dolby Atmos music I will be adding it to this playlist In the future. Some time this year you might even hear some of my own music on this playlist.

Thanks !!

I played the list today in my GT and oh my god. I cannot believe that the sales advisors are not using this or a similar playlist to demonstrate the abilities of the sound system. I have an atmos home theater setup and the car is on par with it. Thanks for putting this together.

God I miss my car so much. Being in Georgia at the moment my options are a 2020 Honda Accord or a 2002 Buick Park Avenue that has seen some shit. lol

I miss my car.

Glad you liked the playlist. I actually did let my Studio Advisor know about the playlist. I told him it would be a good playlist to let prospective buyers hear the extreme possibilities of Dolby Atmos. I think he added it to the collection of playlists in the test cars they have.

Listen this on Apple or Tidal(If available) “The Only Process (Protonica Remix)”. Blown my head, hearing this in Apple Music is great, i couldn't imagine how this will be on native Tidal app if its available there.

The Tidal app in Lucid sucks. Maybe I am missing something but there is not even Dolby Atmos category in it under Genres? I am a Tidal subscriber for 5+ years. I have hundreds of albums under my Favorites, but good luck to me scrolling and finding out which one of them is in Dolby Atmos.

Having said this, my own music (Not DA) in high resolution FLAC lossless I put in a thumb drive sounds fabulous. I have the SS Pro package

Big thanks. Need some help. New GT. How do I get the native Tidal app to find this ? Having difficulty even finding my own favorites etc that my phone app shows as the menus are so limited in native GT version of Tidal. Or do I connect my phone usb? And use tidal on phone.

If you search around on here you’ll find that most of us who have SS Pro love it and Dolby Amos sounds amazing, but we don’t particularly like the app. It’s best to use the mobile or desktop app and build playlists or add things to your collection. Then in the car just use your collection. Trying to find music in the car is futile at best.

The native Tidal app is not very useful for anything other than playing music. I find everything on my phone, then make custom play lists that will transfer over to the car. I don’t know if I am missing something , but that is what I have found most useful.

It's worse for Pixel phone / Win PC users. On a browser or on the Tidal Win app, the Double-D Atmos symbol isn't ever displayed, making it impossible to select Atmos tracks. Android phones do show the Double-D symbol on Atmos tracks. But on Pixel phones, the "Atmos" filter button stays hidden during searches, so you can't filter for Atmos.

Best bet is to use the Tidal app on a macOS or iOS device, if you have one, or a Samsung phone.

I miss my car.

First thing I did when I got my car back was a wee-hours listening session in the garage. Yes, it's still an awesome experience.

I am so spoiled by the Lucid I refused the drive the wife's Mazda during the 7 months my car was in the shop. I was a passenger. After a few months I started going crazy. I rented a Carolla for a week, was amazed at how many features a base model Toyota has ( the safety features...blind spot, etc., ). Got me thinking ...

An all-electric small wagon, something for local use, would tickle my fancy: (note the visibility...compare that to your Air)

I would love to have this "Shooting Brake".
