Took delivery of '25 Air this weekend - will our garage mounted Tesla level 2 charger work on the Air?
Does anyone have experience with this? What adapters from NACS to CCS have you had success with?

I use a Lectron NACS-J1772. (Not the Vortex, that won't work). It works fine at 32 Amps, about 35MPH.
 
I have a Tesla Wall Charger and bought this adapter in January 2022 (currently unavailable) from Amazon when we replaced the Model 3 with an Ioniq 5: Tesla to J1772 EV Charger Adapter

The Tesla charger was purchased in 2019 when I got my Model 3. At first the charger wouldn't work with the I5, and googling I discovered there is a dip switch inside the charger which needs to be changed from "Tesla" to "Legacy" and then it worked, and has been since, and works perfectly with our Lucid Air Touring

Possible that newer Tesla Wall Chargers do not need the switch change.
 
I bought a TeslaTap back in the early days when they had fit issues. That's been fixed, but many more high-quality and less expensive alternatives exist now. I'd buy an 80-amp adapter from either A2Z or Lectron. I do not have direct experience with either company's adapters, but A2Z and Lectron seem to be the quality leaders in the US:

I plan on using the Tesla Universal Wall charger which comes with CCS and NACs for my Air lease and then Gravity. I think the new one is all software configured on the app as far as allowing all OEMs and then changing the amp limits.
 
Been using a TeslaTap for a couple of years now with no issues (I think I got the revised / fixed version)

I think that the more costly Lectron NACS to J1772 adapter works reliably at 48A with the Air as does the TeslaTap adapter.
 
I used my old Tesla wall adapter with TeslaTap adapter for over a year before I upgraded to the Lucid wall adapter... worked fine. should have left it at that. purchased the Lucid adapter because it was going to support car to home backup... never happened... SO, just buy the adapter and use the old Tesla level 2 wall adapter.
 
Another new ‘25 owner here coming from a Tesla with gen 3 L2 charger in the garage. I bought the Lectron adaptor and it works great although after a while the charger throttles down to about 8 kw from the standard 11.5 and I get the 3 blinking red lights at the top of the wall charger. Not a huge deal though. It works.

How hot does the Lectron adapter get? The Tesla charging handle? Something is overheating, not good.
 
Not very hot. I had an issue about 5 years ago when the gen 3 Tesla wall charger came out and a bunch of units were defective and overheating. In that situation the cable was actually bubbled and deformed. Nothing like that here. I should also say I’m using a Tesla extension cable and then the Lectron adaptor. More variables than I’d like but trying to avoid buying a whole new wall charger.
 
New Touring owner here as well with a Tesla Gen 3 Wall charger. I ordered the new Lectron NACS to J1772 adapter and it just arrived today. Car is charging at the same speeds as my Model S did - about 11kw at 48A.

As for heat, it’s been charging almost an hour and the Tesla handle is warmer than the Lectron which was very cool. The heat on the Tesla handle is what is normally feel

Question: For those with the Tesla Gen 3 Wall Chargers, do you leave the adapter plugged into the NACS handle when not in use? I notice the wall charger shows the blue light indicating “waiting for vehicle to accept charge” when attached to Lectron but not plugged into the car. Normally it’s a solid green when idle and not connected. Perhaps this doesn’t matter but curious.

I usually unplug it when not ready to charge.
 
I live in Texas and the summer heat in my garage coupled with the heat that emanates from the car while charging would trip my Tesla Level 2 charger. I backed the amps on the charger itself down to 40 amps and used a 50 amp breaker. A little slower, but I didn't want to burn my guest house down, again!
 
I recently got rid of my 2015 Tesla Model S and purchased a 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring. So far I couldn't be happier because the Lucid definitely has the potential to be a Tesla killer. Yesterday I purchased the Lectron NACS to CCS Electric Vehicle Adapter and upon attempting to charge the Lucid Air via my Tesla level 2 destination charger, the vehicle would not charge and an error was displayed telling me to contact customer support. So, evidently this adapter will not work properly with my third generation Tesla level 2 destination charger. This leads me to believe that I will probably be better off swapping out my Tesla level 2 destination charger for a Lucid specific charger. My next step is to test the Lectron adapter with a Tesla supercharger to see if that works.
 
Congrats on the AT! The Lectron adapter you mentioned will work only for DC charging and is not intended for use with AC Level 2 chargers, however, it will not work as intended on DC superchargers until Tesla grants access to their Superchargers to Lucid Air vehicles, and it may not work then because a Lucid NACS to J1772/CCS adapter may be required. The grant of access is said to be scheduled to be Q3 now instead of Q2 as previously stated. The other Lectron NACS to J1772 adapter that is available should work in your house to charge the Air via Level 2 charging.

It's important to read the product descriptions carefully, and keep in mind that DC fast charging is fundamentally different than the AC charger you have at home. The description and compatibility section of the product that you linked talks all about super chargers and fast charging, that's not the case you were testing.

The bottom of the Amazon page that you linked shows a 'frequently bought together' option....notice that there is an entirely different charger, with a description of:

"Lectron Tesla to J1772 EV Charging Adapter – NACS Converter, 48 Amp & 250V, Compatible with Tesla High Powered Connectors, Destination Chargers & Mobile Connectors for J1772 Electric Vehicles (Black)"​

The description includes:
COMPATIBILITY - Compatible with the Tesla High Powered Wall Connectors, all generation of Destination Chargers, and Mobile Connectors; With our adapter you can access over 15,000 more charging stations for your J1772 vehicle.

The one thing that I am having difficulty with is finding the descriptions on adapters from various manufacturers that state if they support AC charging, DC charging or both. Further complicating the situation are the different generations of AC level 2 Tesla destination chargers. Mine is third generation which seems to not be compatible in many cases.

@David R. when you said above, 'The other Lectron NACS to J1772 adapter that is available should work in your house to charge the Air via Level 2 charging,' are you referring to the Lectron J1772 to Tesla Adapter 80 Amp adapter?
