Temporary iPhone mount

While waiting on CarPlay I decided to do a temporary phone mount. I was able to install this using the included tape mount. Should be able to be removed without any damage. Loosening one adjustment it can be rotated and hidden behind pilot panel. Much easier to use Nav on phone with this placement. Even with the improvements the on board Nav just doesn’t have the advantages of the phone.

There is a gap so there is no interference.

Can you get the charging cable in there neatly or not really?

Cable is out of the way without doing anything. cerainly could be improved upon.
It‘s not too intrusive for the passenger.

There is a sizable gap between pilot panel and the rest of the center console. There is plenty of mounting area to do something more substantial / creative. This was inexpensive and a 5 minute job.

Nice option. Thanks for posting. So regrettable there are no usb ports in the large storage space below the pilot panel!! I would have thought they would have put a whole bank of them, at least three or four in along with a 110 outlet. I mean, don’t they claim it will be able to power a house with the two way charger?

Where is the USB charger and/or 110 outlet? Thinking you could just run a separate hub and have as many ports available as you want.

It sure is better than this one. I feel having a mount on cupholder hindered me clicking 1/4 of pilot panel screen.
