My RDU was replaced a couple of months ago following the half-shaft recall - turns out the bolts were loose on my 25AP RWD and Lucid replaced the whole RDU. It runs fine now, but I swear this new RDU is much more sensitive to external temperature than the first one. Is that even technically feasible? After the RDU replacement, my efficiency has an apparent greater sensitivity to the outdoor temperature. Before replacement, if the external temperature was 55-70 F, I would always get over 4 Mi/KwH. Now, if I'm driving at 55 F, I get like 3.2. But if it warms up to 75, I'll be back over 4. And, even at 80F now with the AC running, I can get 4.5+ and have even eclipsed 5 over a 50 mile span. Before replacement of the RDU, being over 80F with the AC running, would drop me below 4. So, I don't know if I'm imagining this, but wondered if anyone had any insight. I've driven it 1100 miles now with the new RDU and have averaged 4.2 Mi/KwH which is similar to before. But the swing in efficiency over T seems much greater to me, the "sweet spot" for optimal temperature seems higher, and I'm curious if this could even be technically possible.
