I have the same issue in canada

It shows -7C but when outside is actually -15C
 
The issue has been persistent since Air. Our Air is always off by couple of degrees 🤣
 
Has anybody issue with aluminum 2 AWG wire to home charger ( not working ) for gravity

Made in the desert, temp sensor limiter to refuse to believe below 20 DEG F is possible:) In my garage today its 26 DEG F and the sensors are agreeing.

Not sure what this has to do with temperature readings....

Alarm bell go off in my head when I see aluminum wiring. Used correctly it can be a good, strong, conductor. Used in household wiring it's often a fire hazard.

What charging station do you have? Are the wire connectors compatible with AL? Is the breaker compatible?

I am not an electrician, but I would suggest having a Master electrician (other than the one who installed it) inspect it for safety.
 
Same, the temperature shown in the Gravity is meaningless. Seems to have no relation to the outside temperature, except consistently warmer than reality, by 10 degrees or more.
 
Has anyone found an answer for this? 3.4.1 didn't fix it. I was thinking about reporting it to Lucid via the software issues email address

Good question! I was hoping the 3.4.1 would fix this bug as well. Yes, please report it - I just did.
The temperature in our Gravity is consistently 10 degrees higher than the actual outdoor temp.
Every other modern vehicle has a reasonably accurate temperature gauge to show the outdoor temp.

I did that before and after 3.4.1 but I'd say do it too so they're aware how widespread it is. Even my 20+ year old VW's external temp display was within +- 1 degree but it's pretty bad in the Gravity. It was in the mid 70s yesterday and while we were out it was saying it was 88-90 degrees.

Agree... I will send it too.
The display in my compromise nothing car is consistently 20 degrees higher than what my phone shows. Unless the "Optimistic Temperature" option comes activated by default without any of us realizing it 🙂
 
Just curious... does anyone know if the Gravity has an actual thermometer for the outside temp? Wonder if the temp is just coming thru the data connection. That'd explain the inaccuracies.

The Gravity has an actual thermometer.

In my garage, Gravity reads 65 F and thermometer reads 66 F. Outside temperature is 55 F. I’d like to take readings in the sun but it’s raining this entire week.
 
I've just gotten my gravity back from service with an an extremely long list of issues of which the temperature reading inaccuracy was one. Lucid states that this is a known issue which is to be addressed with future updates. The 3.4 OTA does not address this issue
 
I've never had a car display an accurate outside temperature reading. My last 7 cars were Porsches and they were never accurate. They always seem to be higher. I just use my iPhone.

It's because most cars have their temp. sensors within the frunk/engine compartment, so when measured it's a bit like car interiors, where the measured temperature in that space is hotter than the ambient temperature.
 
Disagree! maybe the vehicles that you have had had that temp differential but, my experience with the numerous vehicles that my wife and I have had are/had readings w/I couple degrees. This is not a complicated technology! Unfortunately, it is another lucid ineptitude!
