Soon to be Air GT owner

I live in Florida and have installed a solar / battery system that will serve as a capable backup in the event the grid goes down. I have 80 kWh of battery capacity. As soon as the 2027 Model Air GT is announced and I have assurances that the Vehicle to Home charging function will be available I will make the purchase. When in V2H mode the Lucid will more than double my storage capability. I will top the system off before a storm and control the household load during the storm. My system is set up so that the propane back up generator will only start when the batteries drop below a theshold I set. With a 1000 gallon propane tank we are ready for anything.

Adding the extra storage by using the Lucid makes so much sense. I have the backup when I need it and an incredible car to drive when I don’t. After three Tesla Model S’s, three Mercedes EV and a Porsche Taycan I am ready for something different.

Can anyone provide an educated guess when the 2027 Model year will begin? The formal release is essential if I decide to lease instead of buy.

As for the 2027 Model Year, it typically begins in late 2026, so you might expect announcements around that time, but it’s always best to keep an eye on official updates from the manufacturer for the exact release date.

This is unrelated, but could you give a brief review of the Tesla models you've owned? I've liked the brand for a long time (maybe because I'm strongly impressed by Elon Musk) but I've never owned a Tesla.
