No idea if anyone cares about this, but here's a somewhat random selection of the screens in the settings area of the UI.

Ha, well I guess it's kind of a moot point now, but one really interesting thing you'll see on the HUD options screen is that it offers "Auto positioning" and "manual positioning". While the HUD was not operating, it was clear that the "auto" option used the driver-facing camera on the bottom of the steering squircle to detect where your head is and then adjust the HUD image display to the optimum level.

In my wife's 2025 BMW i3e50, the HUD definitely needs adjusting to a driver's height or the phantom/floating image is cut off at top or bottom... so i can see the value in this auto-positioning, though I guess once it's adjusted properly the first time, it would just be saved to the driver profile along with seat and mirror positions and not need be adjusted again. Still, the idea of detecting your height and setting the HUD image was a pretty cool thing.

Makes me wonder if they could have taken a stab at setting your side view mirrors this way as well, as long as they have 3D driver's head position tracking.

My first impression is that it almost just looks like the “larger text” setting for iPhone but for Lucid UX. Like Gravity on the left and Air on the right in the picture below for the analogy. Is it just upscaling for the larger screens and orientation? Or does it look better in person?

Hard to compare because the size of the screens is so different between Air and Gravity. I didn't notice it feeling "too big", but for me with so-so vision (far sighted) it was easy to read. I think some things on Air sometimes feels too small for me, so maybe you're right that it was a deliberate attempt to make the font size a bit larger?

Kind of misspoke there I guess… it doesn’t look bad as I may have indicated with ‘does it look better in person’. I do think it looks good. I’ve watched reviews and have appreciated the software clips I have seen.

Thanks for sharing! This is why I subscribe here 😎.

Thank you for those pictures. Random question about the “Service Wipers” slider: do you actually have to toggle that to change or clean off the wipers? I ask assuming this is a function in the Air also.

I assume it is the same as on the Tesla -- it moves the wipers to a convenient location for service. (See M3 manual: https://service.tesla.com/docs/Publ...UID-949BFDA4-8D73-43A6-AAA5-98AE1129AC25.html) Do you "have to" do it? I guess no, but it makes changing/cleaning a lot harder....
