Software 3.3.20 Update

Giving you the benefit of the doubt - do you think that going online and amplifying negativity with the exact same comment, repeatedly, in every post, and starting a new thread with the same comments helps with the stock valuation? Lucid knows exactly what needs to be done to win the sales of gen pop and remain a viable company. I promise you that your repeated comments are not changing anything other than potentially damaging the reputation and/or annoying everybody on this board. If you sincerely hope for their long term success then give it a rest, give the company some grace and go outside. At least contribute something new.

Lucid obviously has some growth to do in terms of customer service and software. It's steadily improving. Their cars are the most exciting thing on the road and it's not close. Give them some time to figure it out without shouting how they are doomed EVERY SINGLE POST.
Completely agree, repeatedly posting here does nothing realistically and non-software engineering is excellent . But I disagree that management knows what to do. They’ve made missteps repeatedly. Hopefully , this is the last of them.

At the moment, I never have the option to enable DD (the button physically would work, if pressed). It never gives me the steering wheel icon indicating that it's available. I did switch to ACC in the settings and it does allow me to activate that, however. Interestingly, I did really mash and hold the button for DD to see if I could force it to activate and on the screen popped up the following distance meter (which I think was a bug because DD and ACC were NOT activated...it just showed up below the speedometer and didn't do anything (nor was the following distance adjustable). It then disappeared.
My car is at the SC for this (and a couple other) issues right now. Based on other’s experiences I’m guessing it’s a bad hands-on sensor on the wheel.

FWIW my vibes color is also never correct except for immediately after a reboot or if I manually turn it off and on again, and I don’t have .20 yet.
Does anyone notice that the lights in the front around the dash are deactivated while the ones on the doors are on? I get that often, unless its some setting for 'not blinding' or interferring with HUD....

The front strips are only engaged when in park. (Presumably to avoid distractions while driving.)

I have the same. Based on what others have said and told me, the steering wheel will need to be replaced. Car is going in for service in a couple week for this and several other items which I am strongly hoping they get fully resolved. I want to love this car SOOO much but they have made it hard. This software release tho has been a huge step in the right direction tho.
Can you reboot the car? Our left pad is completely dead, so we cannot engage DD but also can't reboot. I really wish we could after the update; there are a few little quirks that have started since the update that I bet would go away if we could do a hard reboot.

@marqie - could be good to add to the list for another reset option like how you can tap the Air logo for 20 seconds in settings. Maybe the same could be applied to Gravity.

That would be very welcome. It would be nice to have redundancy for a function as important as the ability to reboot this computer on wheels.

I haven't needed to reboot since the update, so I haven't tried, but my buttons and reboot worked just fine a day before the update

Nick are you able to confirm that the Sanctuary Videos will redownload after the update? A few posts about them missing after the update but then reappearing a few hours later...wondering of this is by design as mine are now missing (update completed an hour ago)?

Thanks
They should re-download automatically.

What about those of us who had zero or only one Sanctuary Video?
Still waiting for 3.3.20 on my end - hopefully before my trip this weekend!
me as well. 🤞

Had a carpool today where I waited in car, parked, for 20 minutes and car started up perfectly once kids got in. This is HUGE!

I know it was an issue addressed in 3.3.20 per the release notes. Prior to the update, I’d have to use my keycard, get out and back in, or shake my key an absurd amount to get the car to go into gear if I’d been waiting in a carpool line, etc and not moving.

Very appreciative this was addressed!!!

I updated to version 3.3.20 two days ago, and this is the first major issue I’ve noticed since the update.
After a pit stop, the left rear door was the last door closed before driving off, but the main console continued to show the door as open. I double-checked that it was fully closed, yet the status did not update and the main screen froze for the entire trip.
At the next pit stop, the frunk was the last component closed, and it then displayed as open for the remainder of the drive. The CAR screen froze, while the other tabs continued to function normally. After reaching home, I had to use the left panel to open the frunk.
Hopefully a reboot will fix this!

Well, it was quite the day, Lucid-wise.

As I was leaving the grocery store this morning at 11:35 my phone rang. It was the Lucid Miami Worldcenter saying our new Gravity Dream Edition had arrived this morning and that if we could take delivery by the end of business hours at the Studio (7:00 p.m.) I would quality for a $2,000 incentive that expires today. I told them I hadn't even received a purchase agreement or invoice yet. (I had checked my Lucid account earlier this morning, and it showed the car still "In Production".) They said they would get the agreement and invoice sent to me shortly. I told them that I'd have to go to the bank to order a wire transfer but that it might not go through by end of day. They said that as long as I could bring the order from the bank for the transfer they would deliver the car without payment having actually been received.

So I raced home, scrapped dinner plans with friends, and started pulling things together. The paperwork from Lucid hadn't arrived by 1:00 p.m., so I jumped in the shower. The paperwork arrived by the time I got out. I was pleasantly surprised to see that, besides the $2,000 incentive, Lucid was also giving me a $3,000 "Studio Select Discount". I didn't think I qualified for that, as I had opted not to take one of several Gravity DEs that were in showrooms and instead took one that was still at the factory.

So I threw on some clothes and off we raced to the bank to order a wire transfer and then hit the road to Miami. We hit Miami right at rush hour but made it to the Service Center in time to sign everything, inspect the car, and set up the profiles which had to be done before they could take the car out of Service Mode. By about 7:10 things were wrapped up and the slightly irritated service personnel who were having to hang around after closing time could lock up and head home. (We left the new Gravity there to be trucked over to our PPF installer in the next few days.)

So, why am I posting this on the 3.3.20 update thread? Well, because we drove over to Miami in our first Gravity to which we had downloaded 3.3.20 three nights earlier . . . and the trip had its issues.

The morning after the update I took the car for a short drive to see how it behaved, and things seemed okay. I didn't put the car on a major highway where I could use the full DreamDrive suite, but the adaptive cruise control did work. Today we tried to engage DreamDrive once we got onto Alligator Alley (I-75 through the Everglades), and we found it was totally out of commission, including ACC which just threw up a "not available" flag.

We stopped along the way at our usual Tesla Supercharger stop for a quick top-up. I have a Tesla subscription for discount charging, so I logged in through the Tesla app, as usual. We plugged in, charging started . . . and about a minute later quit. We tried again. Same thing. So I killed the app and tried to use the Lucid plug-and-charge feature which had been working consistently before the 3.3.20 update. Same thing -- charge interrupted after a minute or so. We moved to another post that came open and finally got a charge to stick.

On the way back, since we had to stop for dinner anyway, we decided to do so at an Electrify America station just to see how that would go. It didn't for the first few tries. When I plugged in, the station didn't recognize that we were on the Lucid charging plan and asked me either to log in with an Electrify America account or use a credit card. It took several tries before the station finally recognized the car was in the Lucid plan. It finally started to initiate a charge, but then all the lights on the charge port turned to red and we got a connection malfunction error. That happened twice. Finally we got the charge started and rang up a whopping 90 kW charge speed -- even though the battery was preconditioned and the charge was below 60%. (Thank goodness it wasn't raining at either of these charge stops.)

We had been listening to Spotify on the drive over to Miami. On the return trip we tried to stream from Tidal but got nothing. I then tried the USB stick which had been working fine, but got a "media not available" message. So back to Spotify, which was still working.

As much as the Gravity software has plagued us from the start, the great saving grace was the seamless charging experience we were getting with the new NACS system. That grace has now disappeared in a puff of smoke, apparently a sacrifice to software gods or fixing some other software glitch.

I spent a good part of the trip home ruminating over the rush to take delivery of this new Gravity and wondering . . . "what have I done?" For tonight at least, I'm glad I left the thing behind at the Service Center for the time being, because having two cars on the road home with these shenanigans would have sent me over the edge.

I have had similar issues charging with non-Tesla chargers, red lights/errors/charges for a minute and stops. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries, sometimes it requires a different stall. I’ve haven’t had issues with Tesla Superchargers so far. When I finally got an EVgo charger to work after several tries to did pull 345kw for ten minutes. The Gravity had the charger screaming, lol.

Thank you for the response. for the record, it has now been 72 hours since the update (that got rid of them), and they are still not back??
Any idea of timeline for their return? I'm getting questioned about it from my wife, as it is her car and she actually enjoys the videos...

That’s so strange. Sorry it’s such an issue. Mine all came back within a couple of hours. It’s worth calling CS to see if they can push it or something. Curious as to why the behavior is so different across the fleet - however, that is actually consistent with the inconsistent behavior of certain bugs across all the Gravity out there (based mainly on what I see in the forum and some reviews).

I just tried a charge at our local WaWa supercharger. Used the Tesla app to initiate since we also have the Tesla membership. Flawless start of charging. I did precondition, battery at 48%, ramped to 170kw and settled in at 134kw. 16kwh in 7 minutes. Gravity is on 3.3.20.

Thanks, I texted CS so I will update when I hear from them.
