That's my car, arriving on its carriage, in San Jose. San Jose service took great care of me and my car. I'm definitely switching service centers from Millbrae :-)

This is a follow up to the thread I posted about a week ago. I was on a long road trip and my car started throwing codes. At first it was just one, then over a period of a few hours, it threw several more. I was afraid what ever was wrong would propagate and make the car undrivable.

I won't relive the churn that was "a tech will come to the car, the car will get flatbedded to Vegas, the car will get flatbedded to San Jose." I will say that the team in San Jose worked with me, the Lucid Mothership and the tow truck operator to make it all happen, including get me a rental car for my drive home.

They had my car ready for me to take home the day after it was delivered to them.

In the end, it was simply a loose harness connector, and I coulda just driven the f***ing then home. But hindsight is 20/20.

Here is my overall takeaway. For me, the frustrating part was getting through to a responsible adult at the service center. Calls were rolling over to voicemail (at Millbrae) and escalating to roadside assistance, who told me I'd get a call back within 48 hours, was underwhelming at best.

But once I finally got through to the San Jose team, I felt like I was really taken care of with a premium experiance I expect from the brand.

And.... driving the Mazda rental home 600 miles made me really appreciate my car. Crikey, why would anyone drive anything else? Such an awesome road warrior. When it is working at spec :-)
