Had my 2025 Air GT windows tinted yesterday. In the process the tinter (also a friend) got distracted and accidentally touched the silver mirror cap and black ring around the outside of the mirror with his heat gun. Now I have a burn in the silver paint and blistered black plastic.
The tinter is working on a replacement, but wanted to ask if anyone knows whether those two plastic pieces are available separately or if an entire mirror assembly will be needed. If a whole assembly is required does the new unit need to be recalibrated?
Thanks in advance. The guy feels so bad about and I don’t want to see the repair cost him more than I paid him for the tint.
