Removing search box on navigation on 3.0 on Air

Hello, search box on the navigation both on front panel and bottom panel is kind of annoying and just stays there. Is there a way to toggle that search box on and off somehow? Thanks!

I think the only way to hide it right now is to simultaneously bring up Navigation on the top display. Of course this sorta defeats the whole "multitasking" capability of UX3.0.

Mine disappears...it goes away when you're actively navigating to a destination. Once I select a route ..after about 5 or so seconds...the search bar and navigation view vertical bar all disappear leaving only a full screen with route information

Oh...I did not try actively navigating to the destination yet, it just stays on regular navigation screen, and I like if I can see the entire map without that search bar, even though I am not navigating anywhere.

Good example of how one person’s annoyance is another’s feature. I personally like having the search box appear as an overlay. I find it very convenient not to have to hunt for the search function. But then again I only use navigation when I’m navigating to somewhere. Maybe I’m an outlier.
