Rear View Mirror useless at night

Just purchased 2026 Lucid Gravity. While driving at night, cannot really see anything through the rear-view mirror. Not sure if this is due to heavy tinting on the rear window, how long the car is, or just a setting on some kind of auto dimming feature to protect against bright headlights) or that is just the way it is.

Just purchased 2026 Lucid Gravity. While driving at night, cannot really see anything through the rear-view mirror. Not sure if this is due to heavy tinting on the rear window, how long the car is, or just a setting on some kind of auto dimming feature to protect against bright headlights) or that is just the way it is.

It does automatically dim at night from bright lights, like other auto-dimming mirrors, but ours works fine; you may have a defective one if it is truly impossible to see. Can you take a photo?

I don't see how I could take a photo. The mirror is just black. If i used flash it would just reflect. Is there somewhere this auto dim feature is discussed.
