Really bad efficiency in my Pure (during PPF)

No bad weather. No hard driving.
Why do I avg 2.9-3.0 miles per KWH??

I was at 85% charge when I started and 126 miles in I am down to 41%. Based on my last month, I’m lucky to get 200mi before down to about 10-15%.

Should I address with lucid?
I'm getting 4.2-6.2 mi/kwh on mine. I drive in Smooth mode and take advantage of regenerative braking.

Weather please, are you using AC or heat?, what regen? And how much time sitting around using up energy while not driving?

“Since last charge” tracks all usage including battery drain while parked.
How bad is the drain while sitting? I got my pure last Friday 98% charge, ~33 miles. Sat for a day, drive one day, did some hard driving for a few (maybe 2-3x for 5 min intermittently)runs up a deserted road. Took for ppf, ceramic and tint. Sat 5 days being worked on and saw constant drain in my app. Picked up today at 48%, drove short distance home and to run an errand now I’m at 38%. It’s been pretty cold (18-40 degrees) for our city, but car a has been parked in climate controlled garage. I know I’m new to the car and EV in general but this is slightly concerning. Used and heater while driving and mix of regen to test out. Will charge to 80% tonight and see how it goes I guess. Any pointers or things to look for?

How bad is the drain while sitting?
Usually in the range of 0.25% to 0.5% per day. Checking the state of charge with the phone app wakes the car up and causes battery drain.
Heating up a cold car at the beginning of a trip uses energy. This is most noticeable if you take a lot of short trips.

Thanks @DeaneG my drain while sitting for ppf was much more than that. Maybe it was the constant opening and closing, waking etc over those 5 days. But being down to 36% with only 106 total miles and snot driving for 4 days is a little jarring as a new owner. Will call customer service to talk through scenario and get some best practices.

I'm guessing the drain was from when the car was getting PPF. Keeping the doors/trunk/frunk open keeps the car on and will drain the battery. My car had a significant loss of battery during the week it was getting PPF because of the openings.

Depending on how warm the shop was kept, the car is also running the heat while the doors are open. I would not worry about the loss while in the PPF and tint shop.

Just for fun I focused on efficiency after charging last night and started my day at a SOC 79% - dropped off kids then headed into work. I was not displaying the “trip” informatics until midway through my commute and was showing 4.7 mi/kWh and finished up at a whopping 5.3 mi/kWh. Drive conditions was about 2 miles of city and 15 miles highway, 54oF, stop and go traffic - speed ranged from 15-60 mph, no A/C or heat, easy starts, max regen. The regen efficiency is amazing; mirroring HA driving patterns, I’m meeting the 4.2 mi/kWh with every charge. I recall someone posting about helping to understand why Lucid Owners say the love their cars so much because it hasn’t been his experience. To that I will say, like everyone here has shared on other threads, drive the car the way you want and how can you not love the car, and this Forum. Now I just need Lucid to offer a program to add the additional hardware to my car so I can have access Dream Drive Premium. I know, should’ve, could’ve just gotten the GT when I placed my order. That would be the only thing I would change if I had to do it all over again, and only if they offered the phantom blue 😝

Also, on the topic of phatom drain. I recently went on a 10-day trip and charged to 80% actual percentage showing was 79% (unplugged). After my return, SOC was still at 79% - followed everyone’s suggestion to not open app to wake the vehicle. However, I was not able to achieve the 4.2 mi/kWh but a mere 3.8 mi/kWh.
