Just wanted to say "Hi" to all of you.

I am totally impressed with the design, engineering and performance of these vehicles.
Test drove a 2025 AGT and Pure yesterday at the Design Center in Houston.
Great experience. Learned a lot. Leaning towards a 2026 Grand Touring in Stealth Quantum Grey for the range and amenities. The rep shared that he had heard the 26 MY Airs would have a NACS charging port in the rear of the car. Also said an interior change would include a fixed lower screen, oriented horizontally, much like the Gravity with a newly designed steering wheel. I haven't done much searching but has anyone else heard of these prospective changes?

Thanks for allowing me to join in!!

First time hearing about these 2026 changes. That is very exciting if true. I am sure others will chime in. Welcome!

That would be neat if so, but I wouldn't put much confidence in what one Lucid sales rep says. In 2026 and into 2027 Lucid is going to be very busy with the Midsize cars, so I haven't been expecting any big changes to Air until maybe 2028.

Getting rid of the trick hideaway display makes sense from a cost perspective, especially if they standardize on a single panel across multiple models. And I think the NACS port is pretty inevitable at this point.

I really, really like being able to pull in forwards to a charger. I can see repositioning where the charge port to the passenger side for compatibility, but having it in front is great.

That was kind of my thinking until I realized that in the middle of launching Gravity, they had the time to make a LOT of functional changes to the ‘25 Airs…new battery chemistry in the AGT, more efficient motors, new CPU in the infotainment screen, new thermal management…those are all more significant to undertake than a few cosmetic changes in the cabin. That said, moving the NACS port to the rear? Well that’s another story, and it begs the question, would there be an updated Wunderbox or way to charge faster than 50 kWh on older Super Chargers?

If you believe that sales rep, I have oceanfront property in North Dakota to sell you.
And I have a bridge you can finance in three easy payments.

My may 2023 service advisor said lane change assist would be out in a month “tops”…

That prediction was amazing, great success…

Interestingly, another possible take on what the sales rep said is that they are new and are confused between Air and Gravity as all of the features they mentioned are coming out on new Lucid vehicles...on Gravity. I really HOPE that a Lucid sales rep is not that poorly informed!

Just get a 2025.
That would be my recommendation...the lease deals are great right now and still include the $7500 EV credit that may disappear and the 2025's have a lot of upgrades compared with earlier model years already...

Hope what the OP heard will happen and would definitely hold out for a 2026 if them. Who knows what will happen though. Would make sense and Lucid has added some new things the last two model years.

Yeah, but then your missing out of 6-8 more months of incredible driving…
Get it, but would be worth risk for me as those are potential big changes. Especially NACS and interior. If they actually happen. As you learn the longer you live, time flies by and 6 months is short. 🙂

I have a Gravity on order, but if Air did include those changes would go to the Air, as like sedans better.

Seems plausible, the midsize should have the same setup to create uniformity in software. This would cut costs a lot. But 2026 is too early, probable be 2027/2028 as they have to concentrate on the midsize
