Police didn’t like the Arizona temporary tags

Pretty much just standard MD police at work. Yet they will ignore all the non-front plate tesla drivers buzzing about the place.

Interesting. I bought my 2023 Lucid Air AWD back in July 2023 at Goose Island Chicago location and was immediately issued Illinois plates (actual plates on my car upon pickup) and never even received a temporary. This must vary from state-to-state

In my case, there were no dealers in my state.

Lucid has no dealer system in any state

It's confusing but you likely meant a store/showroom
PA has a store/showroom but you can't buy from them, you have to talk to someone in CA and get papers done with them

I actually took it as no Service center as I picked up at the Lucid Goose Island Service center and NOT the showroom. I was told the Oakbrook showroom location was not set up for deliveries. Do other locations in the USA do deliveries from their showrooms? I honestly though it was ONLY from service locations (the deliveries)

I had a simlar thing happen with a Mitsubishi I bought from California like 10 years ago. It took so long to get plates that the local cop here finally pulled me over and asked me why i didn't have any cuz he saw me every day.

My BMW came from a BMW dealer in California too, and the process is now so long that Idaho gives you a 1 year conditional plate, they gave up trying to even track the CA DMV. So its probably not a Lucid specific issue.

Dallas does deliveries or did. It's where I picked up mine.
