Hi all,

My 2023 AT has around 7000 miles on it and I recently noticed that the range drop from 336 to 334 when charged to 20%. not a huge drop but a dip nonetheless. After a bit of searching I landed on http://testmycode.cc, which showed me the following:

"batteryState": {
"range": 539,
"chargePercent": 79.90000119060278,
"kwHr": 67.69999848678708,
"capacityKwHr": 84.71999810636044,
"batteryHealth": "WARNING_OFF",
"lowChargeLevel": "WARNING_OFF",
"criticalChargeLevel": "WARNING_OFF",
"unavailableChargePercent": 0,
"batteryPreconStatus": "BATTERY_PRECON_UNAVAILABLE",
"batteryPreconTimeRemaining": 255,
"batteryHealthLevel": 95.5000014230609,
"evsePowerLimited": 0,
"bmuSoftwareVersionMajor": 4,
"bmuSoftwareVersionMinor": 12,
"bmuSoftwareVersionMicro": 22,
"batteryCellType": "BATTERY_CELL_TYPE_LG_M48",
"batteryPackType": "BATTERY_PACK_TYPE_AIR_18",
"maxCellTemp": 28.80000191926956,
"minCellTemp": 26.700001887977123
},

So here are my questions
1) I thought I had a 92kwh capacity, and charging to 80% should show my current capacity at 73.6 but it shows 84.7 in capacityKwHr
2) If capacityKwHr is meant to be max capacity and not current charge levels, then my battery degradation would be just short of 9% (84/92) )in 7k miles. that seems excessive or just wrong.
3) if batteryHealthLevel is to be factored in at 95%, then 95% of 92 and a SoC of 80% should yield current change level of 70kwHr

I'm clearly not understanding what I see. Can anyone help me understand this data? also range says 539, but my EPA range is supposed to 420? (based on 336 / 0.8)

I tried searching and I apologies if this has been discussed to death. I couldn't find it quickly

Thank you.

539 could be in kilometers? and so 539 / 1.6 = 336, which make sense, but my charging stops at 334 and not 336 like it used to.

if i use that, 67.7 / 84 . 72 = 80%, so that equates out, but 67.7 * 4.4 = 297 NOT 334.

We have been told by Lucid that this number has nothing to do with degradation or pretty much anything else.

I have long suspected that Lucid keeps a few kWhr under zero in reserve. With the recent range tests by Kyle Conner and Tom Moloughney, they are confirming about 4kWhr remain at zero SOC. For your numbers this means:

92kWhr nominal - 4kWhr (reserve below zero) = 88kWhr
88kWhr * 95.5% (health) = 84kWhr
84kWhr * 79.9% (SOC) = 67.1kWhr

67.1kWhr is very close to the 67.7kWhr shown in the SOC.

thanks for that. still though

67.7 * EPA 4.4 miles / kwh = 298.. not 334. so it still doesn't reconcile

if you add back in the 4kwhr, 71.7 * 4.4 = 315.5 not 334

its all funny math i guess!

so pretty much useless then ;)

The battery health percentage should be relatively accurate. Everything else we don’t yet understand.

And is 95% expected for a car with ~7k miles you think?

Mine is less than two months old and less than 2k miles. My battery health is - 95.6%

I have a support visit for another issue this week and I will ask them about it.

Sure.

The warranty is 70% at 8 years. How you get there depends a lot on how you drive, charge, and so on. The first year will always have the most degradation, and then it slows down significantly.

Again, these figures have nothing to do with reality.
