The Pilot Panel in my Air Touring is opening and closing but not aligning properly. The panel seems to have slid forward so the bottom of the panel comes out about two inches past its normal landing spot such that you can see into the storage area when it is closed. The panel sticks out about two inches at the top when it is open. I have a call into service but I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this and if it is something I may be able to deal with myself. I am a bit nervous about opening and closing it as I don’t want it to get stuck in the open position.

It’s happened a handful of times to a few owners I know. Service always fixed it as a “once and done” fix.

Yesterday, my Pilot Panel stopped about 2 inches into its retraction and then then returned down when the return button was activated. Continued this same stop and return action all day today. Of course, being a weekend, no customer service call would be received. Will send email, instead. Any ideas?
