2022 lucid air grand tour
Whatsup guys, I got my 2024 sapphire delivered two nights ago, thing is a beauty , only 1600 miles, I don’t have plates yet so I only drove around the block a few times
One crazy issue! So they only had one key, so after driving around the block a few times, I pulled in my driveway and parked . The pilot panel stated the car has an available update, I think was 2.8.16, any way I had almost a full battery so I went ahead and did it, next morning I wake up and the key not working and car not responding, mind u that I never even called lucid and transferred ownership to my name internally, so I have no app or anything, all I have is one key, so I put new battery in and still no good, I call lucid and they said it is still updating and taking long because it isn’t connected to WiFi and it is on LTE, but here i am now 48 hours later and it is still stuck on 50%, in the interim I called lucid and they verified I am the owner, so I see my car on my app but it still says offline and still says 50%, so basically I can’t even go in the car! Anyone ever experience this???
One other thing, I had two grand touring before with the glass roof, and one immediate difference is with the glass roof the car u can see inside, with this black roof, I can barely see my son in the passenger seat, anyway I just thought that is weird, and it looks like the ambient lighting is only blue option
I can’t wait to actually enjoy this car, attached are some photos

That's not how that works. Updates are downloaded silently before it shows you anything on screen. Pressing the button only starts the installation process. It sounds to me like either the install failed quite badly (normally if install fails, it just reverts and has to try again) or the whole 12V system somehow died while it was updating. Either way I think you're going to want a tech to fix it.

I can’t even get in, I keep calling lucid and they keep saying they working on it but I dunno, by tmrw I will throw a fit and tell them to send someone and fix it, luckily I haven’t really needed it per se. I don’t even plan to use it for the whole winter since I’m in nyc, but I wanted to use it for like a week or two
 
I was just wondering if anyone experienced this, I put the key next to the pillar and nothinf

Not surprised. You can't normally unlock the car during an update, and you can't unlock it if there is no 12V power. Is there anything on the screens in the car? Normally it'll show the update progress in there as well. If not, I think it has no 12V power. Maybe just a dead battery, maybe it completely failed to boot back up after the update... not sure. There are battery jumping instructions in the manual if you wanted to try that, but it's not super easy to access the terminals.

ah i missed that part, sorry.

I wonder if it being the Saphire it needed a different software push since its, well, the Saphire.
 
I don't know if this is applicable, but I had an update fail in the middle of the installation. I looked like I was going to need to have the car towed to an SC to get it fixed, but Lucid was able to remotely get things straightened out. It took them a while, but they worked hard on it and got it squared away.
 
Looks like a tow truck needs to bring to the nearest lucid center
 
I’m sorry this happened. But while we’ve got you on the line as the only person I’ve talked to that has the Saphire…is the roof painted black? Is it the aluminum roof like the AGT?
 
Next time, maybe lower your windows all the way down before any OTA update, so you can get back in...lol
Sorry you can't enjoy your new ride. I hope Lucid gets it fixed asap

Welllllll ever since I became a sapphire owner I only respond to people with AGT and up, so I am assuming u have that ????? lol jk , so the roof and the d pillar and b pillar is black, like solid black, I never seen a health package lucid in person, are they all black or I think they are like a brushed dark gray finish

I only have Air Poverty Touring not even Grand :(

Its stealth, and stealth is blackish panels I think, on my grey its color matched grey.
