Philly Lucid Owners - Phil-a-Trunk this Sunday

Hey fellow Philly Lucid owners! The local radio station WMMR is doing their annual food donation event Camp Out for Hunger next week in South Philly stadium parking lots. The Phil-a-Trunk group is kicking off the week with their donation event this Sunday starting at 7:30a.

I'll be heading down with my frunk full of donations. If anyone else wants to get involved, I'd be happy to meet up at the Lucid KoP studio and drive down as a group. I'll be there around 7:00. I know the Porsche club (who started this event years ago) stages at the Capital Grille next to the studio, maybe it would be cool to have a small Lucid group tag along behind them.

Here's some stuff Philabundance has on their list for donation:

• Peanut Butter & Jelly
• Cooking Oil
• Canned Tuna or Meat
• Canned Fruits & Vegetables
• Canned Stews & Soups
• Oatmeal/Breakfast Cereal
• Whole Grain Pasta
• 100% Juice
• Rice
• Boxed, Non-Refrigerated Milk

The Camp Out for Hunger has historically been one of the largest food drives in the nation, and this year it'll have a bigger impact than ever before given the federal funding situation. Lets rep Lucid owners!

Thanks for the notice. Gotta check with the wife. We usually go to Friends Meeting on Sundays so won't be there until 1pm or thereabouts.
We donate about $2000 to Philabundance each year but it would be nice to bring some stuff and to see the local Lucid gang.

Also, if anyone is interested in 21" Lucid Aero wheels I will bring them. Going to pick them up now (just refinished). Decided to move to a condo and don't have room to store two complete sets of wheels (summer/winter) and floor jack. Makes me sad to give up summer performance rubber but I"m too old for that kind of fun.

Looks like the Phil-a-Trunk event closes down around noon unfortunately. The main donation event runs all week though!

Excellent turnout this year, total donations amounted to around 1.6 million tons of food.

Agreed! I'll need to get a post out there earlier for next year, hopefully we'll be able to get a group together then.
