OTA 2.8.16

Sounds like the same explanation I was given for my similar car about a month ago. The sad thing is that we have to fly blind for weeks trying to figure out the answer to questions that could so easily be resolved if Lucid sent out a little information via email when an OTA update is released. Simple stuff like what's in the update, what vehicles it applies to, etc.. Imagine how many calls to Customer Service could be averted. I can't fathom how such 'no brainer' stuff eludes a company that is smart in so many other ways, and I'm blue about it. Maybe that's how they got the color name.

Hopefully stuff like this is part of the reason for recent shake-ups within the software development department at Lucid. I know swapping personnel won't magically fix software issues overnight, but I hope we see improvements in things like patch release notes sooner than later.

According to Bobby’s fantastic website, 2.8.17 was initially issued. I hadn’t received 2.8.17 by yesterday so I asked Lucid Customer Care. here is what the said:

Hi David,

Software versions 2.8.16 and 2.8.17 are two variants of the same build, dependent on VIN.

I can confirm that your vehicle is on the most current version of the software build per your VIN.

regenerative braking suddenly doesn't work so well which caught me off guard a few times adjusting to it (no, it's not a full battery and I did check the setting = high)
easy entry only works half the time.
mobile key is also mostly unpredictable = never was before. Going back to the fob.
still no way to permanently delete HA = "I'm playing with my phone" mode.

Things I'd like to have:
Space Laser Deer Vaporizer.

The deer around here are everywhere now, strolling out onto the highway at night. There are 4 vehicle-hit deer carcasses within 1/2 mile of my house. All happened this week.
Even a Rhino package for the Air would be nice.

Most of us got it a long time ago. Call CS and see if they can push the OTA update to you?
