One year in with my 2025 Lucid Air GT. This was my first EV having come out of a Mercedes C63 sedan. No car is perfect so I thought I would share my thoughts with interested buyers.
Good
Great looking car. Interior fit and finishing is beautiful. The one warning is that the Santa Cruz carpets get dirty super easily. I had to order darker floor mats to deal with it.
Fast and capable, though extreme temps degrade speed quickly.
Smooth (I have the 19” wheels with AS tires)

The exterior trim appears cheap and is often glued on, which has led to the trim falling off.
In extreme temps hot/cold, the hood would get stuck. This was remedied after 2 trips to service.
Window visors are placed too low and block my vision (I’m only 6ft). If the driver’s seat lowered further, it might not be a problem, but alas I had to remove the visor on the driver’s side.
Cameras AND lidar but still no self-driving in the city? Even self-parking is weak sauce.
Infotainment sucks. Like it totally sucks!
The bottom line is that overall, this car was a great choice and I would buy it again, because all cars have issues.

- CarPlay constantly glitches and has to be rebooted
- “Hey Lucid” voice command is awful. The AI doesn’t seem to know anything, including where the car is. It won’t do anything. I never use it because it’s awful, especially comparing it to my Mercedes.
- There are only 6 ambient light settings (all similar) instead of every color imaginable like most other cars out there.
The bottom line is that overall, this car was a great choice and I would buy it again, because all cars have issues.
