I just spent 2 hours talking with a shop foreman at a local German dealership.
He mentioned in 2, 3 years, we'll see lithium-sodium batteries, instead of lithium. Solid state is way out.
For his brand, batteries can be charged to 100% as far as he's concerned, implying degradation may not be that big a deal.
Ands there's no need for daily plug in.
I'm no battery chemist so can't comment if his thoughts are scientifically sound or applicable to Lucid batteries, too.
