I just spent 2 hours talking with a shop foreman at a local German dealership.
He mentioned in 2, 3 years, we'll see lithium-sodium batteries, instead of lithium. Solid state is way out.
For his brand, batteries can be charged to 100% as far as he's concerned, implying degradation may not be that big a deal.
Ands there's no need for daily plug in.
I'm no battery chemist so can't comment if his thoughts are scientifically sound or applicable to Lucid batteries, too.
 
Time will tell. This stuff is very much still in the hands of researchers, not guys in a dealership.
 
I’ve heard this on other forums. That the the main limitation of charging speed is the lithium ion batteries themselves. Solid state batteries can charge much quicker
