Interesting that Rivian CEO doesn’t mention Lucid….

"The part that everyone needs to take note of is that these are technically very advanced vehicles and more advanced than a lot, most of, I should say, most of the Western vehicle manufacturers," he said. "I'd say Rivian and Tesla being exceptions to that."

Elephant in the room?

Lucid has built the most powerful, efficient electric”engine” in the world. It has application beyond vehicles in the future? like fighter planes or tanks?

As the CEO of Rivian he doesn't want to increase Lucid's brand awareness by mentioning it in his press engagements.

Yes, they both (Elon/Tesla, and competitors) tend to do this when they know they are beat....:) That being said treating the Chinese EVs like one big monolith is also not really a thing. There are 100 OEMs, maybe 12 are legit and it is true their low costs are 100% to do with Govt support, China Supply chain scale and generally low costs of living/no inflation rather than any technology or driving performance advantage (range, efficiency, handling or acceleration).

One wonders why a CEO would undermine his credibility with such a statement, except of course that he does not want anyone to know about Lucid, which remains undiscovered by many. Denial is not a good long term strategy.
