Tried doing a launch today. Nada. No bear for me!!
Just brake and mashing accelerator and go.
Feels like the Hagerty video. Super slow from 0-6mph, almost like a deliberate delay. Then BOOOM, I hit triple figures well before my Taycan. There's a long stretch of road that I use with no traffic. Canyon road. if nobody's behind you, you got some runway to play with. This is just butt dyno talking. If I launch the Taycan, I'll usually hit close to triple digits before I have to let go because a curve is coming up. On the Gravity, I was already well passed triple digits and just let off the accelerator. My RRS Autobiography was like my Taycan, close to triple then have to let go.
Funny enough, I have never launch the Plaid X on this stretch of road. Might need to do that.
The launch on the Gravity was very meh, no drama. didn't feel like a launch. The Taycan launch is like a roller coaster. you can feel the Gs.
On the Gravity. No noise, no fanfare, but I do feel like the front got some air (no video to prove this), and I feel a slight bit of torque steer, or maybe it's the rear-wheels looking for traction.
Maybe future OTA will give us launch mode? Or they're saving that for the Gravity Sapphire?

Hmm... I did not check to see if it's on LOW. But it was on Sprint.
I thought the Bear logo would come on when confirmed. Since I didn't see Bear, I just assume launch mode was engaged. Will try again tomorrow/today.

The one time I launched a GT was sprint, low and it did confirm launch control on the screen.

You need to be in sprint, wait for it to enter low. Brake full to the floor, then gas full to the floor. It 100% should be working, and it does make a difference in launch aggression. It's quick enough to activate that you can do it at the average stoplight. Give it a try just lift early. If it doesn't work you may have a motor DTC
