I am a new owner of a Lucid Gravity GT, and I am pleased with it. One setting I decided to change though was to turn off the automatic lock and unlock feature that operates with the proximity of the key fob. My reason is that every time I walked past the car in the driveway, without intending to get into it, it lights up like a carnival. Without actively using the fob, I found that the door will unlock by my simply touching the driver's side handle. Locking is more complicated, whereby I need to fully depress the handle and hold it a split second for the locks to engage. My question is whether this was an intentional passive design feature of the software, or simply an artifact. I would appreciate hearing of other people's experience. I actually rather like this method for locking and unlocking.
New way to lock and unlock Lucid Gravity?

On my Air Touring, I have Passive unlock disabled. So, whenever I need to open the car, a simple touch on the door unlocks my car 9/10 times. However, I have left passive locking to be enabled and the car locks when I walk away. This setting has worked for me very well...

This is how all Lucid vehicles operate when passive unlock and passive lock are turned off. For some reason it's not well documented in the owners' manual.
I leave passive unlock off, and passive lock on, for convenience.
I would like to do the same thing, but the only choice I see in the settings screen is to have both on or both off. is this a difference between the Gravity and the Air?

Oh, you're right. The Air has separate controls for auto unlocking and auto locking. Gravity has only one setting for both. Didn't notice that.
That's unfortunate.
I hope that isn't a reversion in the Air when when it gets the 3.0 update. I really like having separate controls for auto unlock and auto lock.

Technically auto lock is somewhat redundant though, once you are out of range of fob/Paak the car locks itself on a short timer anyways...Or I just lock it in the app if it alerts me, I left it unlocked...My wife always forgets to lock our Air loaner since she is used to the Gravity.
