It's already happen

I was at this one Sunday AM: Joyce Kilmer service

This is one of the new Universal chargers at the Joyce Kilmer stop on the New Jersey turnpike. I needed a few electrons to get me to the free charger...

1000volts + 500 amps !!!

Here is an EA 350 Ultra charger

Report from latest trip North:. only charger in Vermont is Wall Mart in White River Junction.
A nice surprise; the Merritt now has fast DC chargers at those slot / pitt-sotp fuel stations. I don't know how they managed it but yes, they do!
Some of the fuel stops on the New Jersey turnpike have no chargers at all...not even Tesla, despite there being a large electronic sign saying so.
A few New Jersey Turnpike stops have the new universal chargers (Joyce Kilmer shown above) .

Vermont is beautiful and still has lots of dirt roads...and not much electricity. Most of the chargers are private so the maps of locations are not much good: you may think there is a fast charger in Montpelier but it's a car dealership... make sure your Lucid is fully charged at the Wall Mart in White River before you go into the Great White North.

Universal charger looks like cheaper price than EA?

Universal charger was about 0.60 cents / kWh .

EA 350 Ultra charger is free.

I circled Waitsfield, VT but could not find a DC charger. I did find a bunch of limp and lame golf cart chargers, most were private and none were any good for me = these chargers are for hybrids with 20 kW batteries. I expected to find DC fast chargers around the ski resorts = wow was I wrong !
The one in Rutland at the Wall Mart saved me from a tow ! Not sure there would be a working charger I was not willing to explore much off my route.
High anxiety. Afraid to swim in the waters of charger uncertainty:

There are two in Waitsfield. I've used both. Vialynk (180 kw) is at the Mobil station (5134 Main St, or Route 100). There is a slower (62kw) Chargepoint at the Mad River Green Shopping Center (near TastePlace).
Vergennes has a two stall 180 kw charge but I've never needed that one.
Plugshare should several other chargers in the State over 150kw.
While not everywhere it's not a hard place to travel. During the summer I make it to Fayston non-stop (~300 mile). Where I then level one charge. The winter I either pick up some at Walmart (350 kw EA) in Albany while I get groceries for the weekend or at Rivian (400 kw?) In Glens Falls while eating at a diner. I then level 1 charge in Fayston before doing the return trip.
