So this is concerning - ‘25 Air pure with 7k miles. Was in service to diagnose a loud but intermittent and rare groaning noise from the HVAC. They diagnosed loose components inside the HVAC compressor. Fixed it then returned to me after two weeks. 48h later, car driving perfectly well. I’m in a drive thru and suddenly the ‘frunk failure’ alert comes up and the horn starts blaring nonstop. And I do mean nonstop. Car is able to be driven so I park nearby. Two hard resets - nothing after the reset. Horn still blaring even during the reset.

I call owner service - they suggest a walk away sleep cycle. It takes ten minutes to go to sleep even though I was 1000 ft away. Horn finally stops with sleep mode.

I smell a faint burn smell and high pitch fan noise inside the right front wheel well area. Something working super hard there. Frunk cannot be opened.

No idea what caused this. But after the sleep and wake up, car would not go into drive. ‘Car Hold fault’ , no regen braking. No frunk opening still.

Car is being towed to San Jose. Car has been on 2.8.16 for several weeks.

This is a bizarre one. They must have screwed something up on hvac. But why the frunk issue and hill hold and regen braking issue?

Will update here once I hear back. :(
