Just received our 2027 GGT in Sept. It has been fantastic, but I have a couple of issues that may be due to a lack of knowledge, so looking for help;

1. User profiles not loading. The sales person set up our fobs, phones and user profiles on delivery. However, our user profiles do not load automatically. They have to be selected from the screen manually. Is this normal, and if not, how would I go about troubleshooting?

2. The users manual recommends downloading “offline maps”. I have tried to download them when connected to WiFi, but the screen just has a spinning icon and nothing ever downloads. I have found that I can only use the native nav system in my local area. Anything more than maybe 50 miles from home and the nav won’t work. I assume this is because the maps aren’t downloaded? I was recently in an adjacent state and the Lucid map was just blank?

3. Soft reboot. I haven’t done one yet but anticipate the eventual need. Is there anything I should be aware of when doing a reboot other than how to initiate it? Should I be connected to WiFi? In an area with good cel service? Will I loose any settings/profiles etc.?

Thanks for any and all assistance.

Congratulations! To answer your questions:
1 It is normal, you have to select the profiles.

2. I wouldn’t worry about offline maps at all, but they should download if you want them off cellular. I tried it once to see how it worked and it went just fine, but it’s functionality IMO just doesn’t do anything worth it unless you are out of cell signal range for the car to download route maps. In the many thousands of miles of driving and road tripping in the past year for me, it’s never been an issue. But you are of course free to do so if you like.

3. Soft reboot is like rebooting a computer or phone, you lose no data. Only rule is the vehicle has to be in park. It won’t even allow it if you are in gear. Hold those 2 buttons and brake for about 10 secs and you will hear a chime as well as a message displaying to let you know to let go and reboot will start. If you continue to hold for about a minute, it’ll go into a hard reboot. Not the best for the system to do it too often but again, no data will be lost.

Hmm my experience is that there is a default profile linked to a fob and that profile should load every time if you are carrying that fob. If you have two fobs in the car, it might be a race between whichever it detects first (haven't tested this - ours came with one fob). Similarly, you can set a profile for key card as well and that should load automatically if that card is used to unlock.

It is my experience that the Gravity defaults to last used profile. The rare occasions that my wife drives it, I find I have to re-select my profile when I next get into car. Hopefully this will change with PAAK and that would switch profiles based on who’s phone is detected. Ideally it would have ability to detect which phone is on driver side vs passenger side. I guess we will see in the next 3 months (or 3 years?) when PAAK finally drops.

My wife also occasionally drives our Gravity but I don't remember switching profiles afterwards. Though she uses the key card, so maybe it's switching back when I open with the fob? I'll test it out and report back.
