I am stuck whether to go A6 (55) or Lucid Air. they are literally the same cost going in, but the Lucid is 2k cheaper to finance (72) thanks to a more aggressive financing incentive.

The Audi will be perfectly competent and ordinary. The Air is different, remarkable in some ways, occasionally frustrating to some in other ways. If you are looking for an appliance, get the Audi. If you are a car enthusiast, the Air is the clear choice. Best to drive both.

you need to set your expectations. I feel each owner has different experience because of his expectations about the car. it is a new company, that is why some future owners are scared.

The Fab is most of the time nightmare to deal with. I have not used my Fab . I am using the app and it works 99% of the time for me. I open the car before I am going to it and I turn the AC so the car is nice and cold.

if you keep the app open in the background, the Bluetooth should work fine. if you do not, it depends on your luck.

the car is really fast and fun to drive but it is no prefect. I believe all the cars they have problems.

I was looking at EQE and EQS before Lucid and after reading about them , they have issues. I went with Lucid cuz I got very good offer and I liked the car.

I am leaving Audi due to poor range and horrible dealer service (they can't fix anything the first time, and break the car every time there is a software update). The software is pretty buggy, but I have gotten used to it through the years.

Funny, I find the fob to be more reliable than the phone as a key :) I do keep tha app running in the background. Maybe it depends on the phone type.

My advice would be to drive both. Having owned quite a few Audi cars over the years, I personally feel you will get a more refined car with the Audi. Without a doubt you will have a better dealer support network with Audi. Not sure if Lucid is your first EV or not. Lucid is a fun car to drive but has it challenges IMHO.

Good luck in your decision

I have the benefit of having an 2021 A6 Allroad and a new 2025 Pure, so I cannot directly compare to the sedan A6.
My impression is that the Allroad is more refined car than the A6 sedan. (I read somewhere that the Lucid higher ups are Audi wagon aficionados and I can see that lineage in the Pure.)
First, I would suggest trying out the Allroad, which in my opinion is an outstanding ICE auto. The versatility it provides without SUV bloat is incredible. We were thinking of trading it in, but there is no car on the market that can easily go from national forest access roads to grand tourer so well (and look so good at it ;-).
The Pure certainly cannot do that.
However, the Pure is at least six times as efficient and doesn't have a German V6 gulping premium gas. It's certainly not as versatile, but I would certainly choose it over the A6 sedan.
Over the past two months I have been quite impressed at how a "version 1.0" Lucid Air has performed as well as Audi's flagship Avant model that has been refined over decades.

I have a Lucid Air, Audi Q4 etron and Audi Q8 etron. They are very different cars. The Audis are quieter but other than that they are engineered to drive like an ICE. Much slower acceleration, partial regen, really poor efficiency. The Lucid is far more innovative, fun to drive, and efficient. It is noisier and the driving position is uncomfortably low. Definitely drive them both and then decide.

Before I got my Lucid, two years ago, I was waiting for the Audi A6 etron. Finally out. Meh reviews I have seen. So glad I got the Lucid. No regets. The plain old A6,A7 is end of an era. Lucid is the start.

But, drove a friends RS6 Avant recently from Vail through back roads in N.M. to Taos. This is not your father's A6. And @DeaneG, while it had Android Auto, I was way too preoccupied to think about it. Or care!

This is what I wrote shortly after picking up my Air GT. I've since learned how wrong I was to say the S8 was more refined that the Air GT due mostly to ignorance on my part. Lucid has totally taken over the concept of "Vorsprung durch Technik" and has really left Audi in the dust.

It takes a little while to fully appreciate the Air. I had no idea from the test drives I took.

Right, plus, I learned later that the test drive cars that I drove were 3 years old! I wish I had known that at the start.

I waited for the A6/S6 E-Tron since 2021 and then I gave up.. Went with Air GT in 2024 Spring.
Previous car was 2017 Audi S5 Sportback Prestige.

Assuming you're going for A6 E-Tron (and not the gasoline),
- Air would have longer range (range anxiety is real unless you have a dedicated charger at home)
- Is A6 finally out? I don't think Audi USA website doesn't even have the A6 E-Tron / or new gasoline model
- How long are you willing to wait more?
- From what I gather, Audi asked google for the current Audi MMI interface as CARIAD project got delayed and delayed
- Software wise... A6 would be bug/glitch-free compare to Air
- Depends where you live... Audi dealership-service scheduling/availability would be much easier
- Can't really say how good the new A6/S6 driving dynamic is... But I can tell you driving Air feels like... a 'nimble and fast silent whale'
- Just don't expect BMW 3 driving dynamic
- Air's backseat space is compared to S-Class size. it's roomier.

I guess it all comes down to what you value and prioritize.

I failed to mention value for your dollar. Yes, Audi can probably mass produce cars w/much lower tech cheaper than Lucid, but when you buy a Lucid, you're getting so much more car for the amount of money you're spending. When you buy an Audi, there are a multiple middle men that get their own little cut, not to mention tariffs and rebates.

As well, the support staff and people at Lucid are all so great to work with. I have worked with some great people at Audi in both sales and service, but it's so hit and miss. Even when I have found a great person, they are usually gone the next time I go back.

Then there's the profit of the manufacturers and shareholders. Audi and it's shareholders are making a lot more profit of their cars than Lucid, which is likely not even making a profit.
