2023 Lucid Air Touring
I’ve owned my Air Touring for 2 years, and found the navigation system to be ok – nothing great, nothing terrible – until today. It’s like demons took control and started pranking me. Multiple times along my route on the interstate, it wanted me to exit, drive a quarter mile, make a u-turn, and rejoin the highway at the same exit. When my destination was a service plaza on the interstate to connect to a charger, it routed me off the interstate, and along secondary roads to the service entrance of the travel plaza, where I would have had no access to the charger. I caught all the errors so didn’t waste any time, but it was bizarre.

Time to reboot the infotainment.

This is not demon-possession, it is "normal" behavior for the nav=to=charger screen.

The most important part of a road trip is planning your route and charging stops before you get in the car. Doing it on the fly doesn't work.

Also... the nav -to -charger works just enough to make it evil. Once you are off the interstates you may find it leads you to deep regret.
What is a "way point" and how can I stop it? If it means there is a charger there then why not just say that?...or is it just a place to piss ?

It waits until you are very low SOC and sends you to a Hundai dealership with a locked DC charger (why are private charges on this list?), or some lowly AC charger with a cable the size of a pencil ...and announces you will reach 10 miles of range by next Tuesday. No worries, it too is on a private network). If you set limits on search you end up with nothing. Not having a wife with me to listen to my rants and stop me from punch- pounding the screen ... is a problem. She's usually finding everything I need on her Apple phone and lets me focus on driving. We pretty much don't use any of the Lucid software. Tried AA for a moment and immediately switched it off. Why such a fuss about such a crummy app ?

Also why is there no charger stop windshield squeege for the EVs? And why no place (a bench) to sit ? Why no bushes in which to piss ?

It occurs to me I need to download a "Find the nearest Wall Mart" app. Pretty relable place to find DC chargers.

Also, do not take your EV to Vermont. Most of I-91 has been paved, but they still use whale oil for light.
