Brand new AT (started trip @125 mi). 2 day trip. Set ACC to 75. High 80's in FL and GA, 70's balance of trip. HVAC set to 73. Started at 100%. 5 charging stops: EA in Gainesville, FL for 8 min; EVgo in Cordele, GA for 19 min for 48KW; overnight - 12 hours at Hilton Garden INN in Marietta, GA (free, but slow and cut off at 88%); EVgo in Knoxville, TN 16 min 31.2KW; MB Charging @ Buc-cee's near Richmond KY 15 min 27KW. We arrived home with 40% charge.
Overall, ~1,100 miles, 289KW and 3.8 miles/KW. This trip experience was similar to the same trip made in my Panamera 4s ICE: we need to stop every 2.5-3 hours to stretch and unload and in every case, my wife returned to the car after the target charging limit was attained. We never had to wait for a charger and they all worked - some faster than others, but all acceptable. The EVgo at the Flying J in Knoxville was the nicest - it was covered, had trash and windshield washing stations and had the fastest chargers. I used car's navigation system to plan trip and select charging stops. I had an ABRP plan printed out for backup - unused. To be plain: EV charging was not an issue in this trip.
Sea Level to 742' but crossing Appalachian mountains. 4 traffic snarls of 2+ hours duration.
This is a great riding car. I previously owned a Tesla S and this is a vastly enhanced experience.
AT/Al roof/19" All-weather tires/wheel covers. 5 suitcases plus ice chest; 2 adults
