NACS Adapter

I been following this forum since we received our Air Pure AWD, and took advantage of the DDP, SSP, and Dual Motor upgrades, and also the car came with the 20” Aero, instead of 19”.

We also have a Rivian R1T, it’s interesting that Rivian is offering the free NACS adapter to owners. I wonder if this adapter will work on the Air. It’s a good backup to have, beside EA, and EVGO. I can’t wait for Rivian to open the charging Adventure Network. I would rather use the Rivian network than Tesla, because of the charging port location. I’m sure Tesla owner will be pissed off, taking two parking stalls.

It won't work yet, because Tesla hasn't approved the handshake to use on the Lucid. Magic docks work because they are enabled through the app.

Yes. Everyone choose the Tesla superstations so they will be available for my Lucid!

Has there been any word recently, either formally or simply mentioned in a Lucid presentation, about Lucid coming out with their own CCS to NACS adapter? When the time comes, whether it's free like Rivian has done, or for sale through the Lucid stores, I would prefer to get a Lucid-branded (or at Least Lucid-certified) adapter. Thanks!

No. Still waiting.

Tesla New York has been producing those adapters.

Ford couldn't wait for Tesla so it contracted with Lectron for the adapters.

When the time comes, whether it's free like Rivian has done, or for sale through the Lucid stores, I would prefer to get a Lucid-branded (or at Least Lucid-certified) adapter. Thanks!

Some companies would provide the adapters for free and some for a fee.

There's no hint whether Lucid adapters will be free or for a fee.
