My totally unsolicited idea on how to improve Lucid Service

Thanks for the clarification. Only reason cars need alignments is if something is bent, or a worn/broken part has been replaced. It's a ADP item 90% of the time
Agreed. And providing these types of services uses up resources that could be deployed to clearing up the service backlog. But from Lucid’s perspective it probably helps keep the lights on as they spend lots of time doing warranty work that doesn’t generate revenue.

I didn't say it was part of the REQUIRED SERVICE.
The REQUIRED part of the Scheduled A service was ~$350, about 50% more than Rivian's equivalent (annual) service. The wheel alignment, @~$330, is significantly higher than other EVs as well.

The Apple model. Who services your iPhone? It ain't Apple, but you'd never know it.

Apple doesn’t want you to service your iPhone. It’s a planned obsolescence business model. Although they will sell you Apple Care which is nothing more than insurance.
True, but it is still the service center model. The "item" is sent to a service center for repair or replacement (almost always replacement). The customer may or may not believe it is going back to Apple. It isn't. And similar to large issue repairs in the auto industry, the replacement is most often a remanufactured / refurbished unit.

What about a discreet 3rd party that contracts with all the main EV manufacturers to do all their servicing - a specialist servicing company. Yes, they would lose control of the service experience, but it couldn't be any worse than generally most EV vehicle manufacturers offer today. Big boys like Tesla included.
Do you know of any companies that could do this?

Penske does this in the commercial vehicle space, so there is a model in operation.
