Yesterday I passed the 2,500 mile mark snce I picked up my AGT on 12/15/24. My wife and I had to go up and back to Yale (from Central NJ) to deal with some health issues she’s been having. Dare I say that the AGT made what would normally be a torturous drive more of a joy than a chore? 290 miles round trip with lots of traffic on the return and my wife does not drive highways, so this was all me!
Between the incredible ride, fantastic sound system (SSPro), absurdly comfortable massage seats, luxurious interior…well, I not only didn’t mind the drive, we both enjoyed it…so much so that my wife who is NOT a car person at all actually turned to me and said, “this is an amazing car.” She’s never said that about our BMW, Audi, Tesla, two Ferraris, the list goes on…
As any of you who have read my posts before know, the ‘25’s have any number of significant upgrades compared with previous model years, perhaps most important in the area of efficiency. We started with 420 miles of projected range (a bit more than 80%), drove 290 miles at an average speed of probably 60-65 (due to lots of stop and go traffic in spots) and averaged 4.49 mi/kWh on the day. Yes, beating EPA estimate in what included at least 25 miles of stop and go traffic, blasting the tunes and running the massage seats at least 25% of the time.
Those of you new to Lucid and this Forum? You’ll hear a fair amount of negativity — just like you do these days on ANY forum about just about anything (and absolutely about EVERY car and car brand). If you are on the fence about taking the Lucid plunge? A test drive should make your decision an easy one. There is no other car on the planet like the Lucid Air.
I LOVE THIS CAR!
(It’s a good thing too as we’ve gotta make the trip three more times over the next two months! Best news is that my wife should be just fine AND it gives us an excuse to stop at Sally’s and Frank Pepe’s a few more times!!!)
P.S. After yesterday (and now that our cold winter is over), I’m averaging 4.0 mi/kWh lifetime over 2,500 miles. Hooting to have lifetime OVER EPA before the end of Summer! We’ll see!!
