Music when vehicle starts

I picked up my Lucid on yesterday, setup a profile that includes CarPlay as an option and chose 2 Sirius Favorites. Now when I start the vehicle the music starts as well. The profile for my wife does not start music, but we did not set her up with CarPlay or Sirius favorites.

Is there some way to prevent the music from starting automatically when the car is started?

I've just adjusted my habit to turn off the music before I leave the car. just a one button press on the control button on the right side of the steering wheel.

Well the radio has always been turning on automatically if you left the car turned on even on ICE vehicles (personal experience). However, it is weird that your carplay music automatically plays even when you pause the music before your exit. Maybe different music player? I use Apple music and it stays the way that I left it when I re-enter the vehicle.

For temporarily countermeasure, I guess you could turn down the volume all the way before you exit the vehicle...??

I almost exclusively listen to my usb stick because it has superior fidelity. So, I dont have the same kind of carplay experience as you. However, the car frequently starts playing loud music as soon as i open the driver door to get in. My solution (like another commenter said) is to turn down the volume before i leave the car.

I am not using Car Play, I am using Sirius/XM 3 month trial, and I turn off the music before exiting the vehicle. I may return to my XM app on my phone after the 3 month trial, but for now, I'd like the music to stay off until I unmute it.

I use Tidal as my high fidelity music app and the set of songs on the individual Playlists will start from the beginning every time I get into the car, so I try to make it a habit to pause the music before I exit so it picks up where it left off. My previous electric car (that shall remain nameless) would play music as whatever the previous volume was when the door was opened as well.
