I recently watched the SavageGeese video on the RSQ8 and noticed one of the few points of feedback about the Gravity (amidst a rant about brands spending too much time and money focusing on what is not in their core competency). The Gravity comment is around 11:45, but it’s a pretty short video to get the full context. His tech reviews are great, he spends a lot of time researching and properly using the products before hand.
His car reviews feel like they are lacking that level of diligence. But what truly matters is that he is a very popular Youtuber, so its important that the product he has in front of him is an accurate representation of the best the brand can do. Whiel I agree that he skipped a lot of important details, unfortunately, the majority of his audience will not notice or care. This is probably the most views a Gravity Youtube video will get.
Kyle is fantastic and thorough in his reviews, but for the majority of the folks out there, his videos are too long and too "techy" for them to engage with. I personally love them though.
Same goes for SavageGeese.
I wonder if they will do a more traditional review of the Gravity at some point as opposed to just the “Why it’s hard to make cars” series…
