MKBHD's review of the Lucid Gravity

His tech reviews are great, he spends a lot of time researching and properly using the products before hand.

His car reviews feel like they are lacking that level of diligence. But what truly matters is that he is a very popular Youtuber, so its important that the product he has in front of him is an accurate representation of the best the brand can do. Whiel I agree that he skipped a lot of important details, unfortunately, the majority of his audience will not notice or care. This is probably the most views a Gravity Youtube video will get.

Kyle is fantastic and thorough in his reviews, but for the majority of the folks out there, his videos are too long and too "techy" for them to engage with. I personally love them though.

Same goes for SavageGeese.
I recently watched the SavageGeese video on the RSQ8 and noticed one of the few points of feedback about the Gravity (amidst a rant about brands spending too much time and money focusing on what is not in their core competency). The Gravity comment is around 11:45, but it’s a pretty short video to get the full context.

I wonder if they will do a more traditional review of the Gravity at some point as opposed to just the “Why it’s hard to make cars” series…

SavageGeese is overly cynical and nitpicky and is guilty of the worst reviewer's sin of believing his opinions are facts. He think he's the final word on what's good and just comes off way too cranky. Used to love his videos now he's just a snob.

Let’s not trash the guy. He tends to cover tech as a whole and not just cars or EV cars. He therefore is not going to be an expert on all things. In the end he was very positive, called out a couple minor issues he saw but overall said he loved the Gravity. His platform is quite large, so this is a win for Lucid.
Nobody on this site really learned anything new but he probably reached a large number of people who had never heard of Lucid before (which is probably why Lucid loaded him the tester for a couple days.
I agree. He's not a reviewer for car enthusiasts, per se. But he has a huge audience, and for casual viewers who just want to know a quick thumbs up or down on a car, it's not a bad thing to have him out there giving Lucid some love.
