Final Update:
Picked up my Air Touring from the service center this morning. They did the following:
1. Perform inspection of rear brake jounce hose routing.
Corrections: Inspected and found both LH and RH jounce hoses are properly installed and require no further action.
2. Software was on 2.8.5 and showed no available updates yet the latest version is 2.8.17.
Corrections: Turned on WiFi and requested an OTA update through Garage. The OTA team confirmed an update was available. Updated vehicle software to 2.8.12, confirmed this is the latest available software for vehicles configured with AD01.
After a lengthy discussion with the Service Manager, he told me that I should connect to my home WIFI to get updates. This is due to the file size of most updates as they can fail if trying to upload over the vehicle LTE connection. But that did not address my issue as my vehicle update did not fail, it never tried to download an update since the interface showed no update available. He assured me it was fixed.
I asked why folks on this forum are on 2.8.17 (and also my rental 2026 AP) and my car is 'up to date' with 2.8.12. He said that I have the AD01 configuration, which is the surround view package and the current version for cars with this is 2.8.12. I said ok and went home.
Got to thinking about this on the ride home and that does not seem to make sense since the rental had the same 'surround view' display yet it is on 2.8.17.
Do any of you folks know what AD01 is?
