Lucid Air Grand Touring
Ordered and picked up a 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring on Monday. Absolutely beautiful vehicle. Had it shipped in from the OC location to the PNW.

Love the car in general (Like a LOT), and I doubt anything could pull me away from a Lucid Air GT except... the car they sold me is loaded with soooo many common issues I've read about - which got me thinking... I don't think they sold me a demo car, I think they sold me a loaner and claimed it was a demo car.

Here's what I've submitted a request for already:
Chipped headlight (wasn't present in the photos of the listing, nor was it mentioned)
Chipped passenger door bottom sill (same as the headlight)
Paint on passenger-side mirror deteriorated from ONE washing, exposing black base layer
Peeling driver-side rear window roof trim
Loose weatherstrip on back-left door (you can literally fling it around like a loose tentacle)
Loose weatherstrip on back-right door secondary side window
Windshield interior cowl acoustic foam seal is inadequate, revealing the structural components beneath
Loose headliner above front seats, which had to be smacked back into place
Loose headliner driver-side rear, won't snap back
A-pillar a bit loose, doesn't snap back into place, can poke it easily to wiggle it
Dashboard material peeling back, off its clips
Creaking steering wheel
Driver seat backrest width adjustment is broken

It's also got rust on the brakes (with scoring marks) but that's supposedly normal. In my view, a demo car would've shed off all the rust from new drivers using the non-regenerative brakes.

The OC location seriously dropped the ball on this car. It doesn't meet Lucid's published standards for a used car at all, and it shifted the burden of fixing it to the Seattle service team, who is already so insanely busy that you literally CAN'T book a service appointment, their mobile technician who serviced my city is GONE now, and the TWO!!! people that handle the entire region are insanely stressed out of their minds handling all of us in the area. It *really* bothers me that the OC team passed the buck to them instead of fixing the car BEFORE listing it.

I'm pretty frustrated with this experience. My theory of it being a loaner instead of a demo car matters - since in my view, a demonstration car would be meticulously well kept so as to entice prospects, whereas a loaner is just another fleet vehicle to be used as needed.

Thanks for reading. I needed to rant.
